Loyang was very underated as a pick dpm is great to have but a well rounded destroyer is always better in the right hands

As much as I really really wanted the Friesland... You could see the potential with the Loyang with a dedicated DD commander. Glad I picked her.

This ship is a beast and it just got better now. That long range sonar feels like a cheat code sometimes.

The last ranked, I played Loyang and it did great. Could outclass all DDs with no trouble at all. Only a Friesland charging your smoke and spotting you with Sonar is a problem but if you have even one ship to support you the Friesland will be dead quickly.

Short answer, yes. 😉 Man this ship with the new DD commander (the one with the AP angle base trait) makes this thing a beast

I dig my Friesland - but- gotta get the Low. I'm of and running with the pan pacific fleet so it is now on my Christmas list , cool looking ship too.

With Deng you can get concealment down to 4.9km.

I wish the Sonar and Radar detected symbol were different as they are on PC - in a Epicenter game against 3 Loyang, Atlanta, Belfast and Cleveland It would be nice to know who was spotting me - Matchmaking likes me to play super hard mode (No radar cruisers or OP Sonar DD on our team)

Loyang does feel like a cheat code with the new commander, but I feel like this video is emblematic of what Chili was talking about in his peanut butter video--if either of those Alaskas in the opening moves had been more of a cruiser and less of a mini-battleship they could have pushed C or B as Tbull was capping it. Without real cruisers at legendary tier, a good DD can run amok (not taking away from Tbull here either, he played great as always).

I finally saved up enough Green XP to buy this ship. She is definitely my favorite DD now but far.

Loyang is a tough adversary. However. A full gun build on Friesland can counter it. But if the loyang is doing their job, it becomes tougher to counter.

i'd be interested in how to play it, from the other end. red team loyang on B, capping in smoke, you're a lightning and you know they can out-sonar you, how do you approach this?

It was a no brainer. I didn't even second guess myself when I chose the Loyang over the light cruiser Friesland. They use Loyang competitvely on PC TBull.

Frankly Lo Yang is unmatched in tier 7 possibly even for legendary tier. She has no one to fear in knife fight with sonar and smoke combo, possibly except against Friesland or another Lo Yang

I honestly thought it was the best dd in the game without a dedicated dd commander. Now with a dedicated dd commander it's stupid. I'm going to re-download my stats in a month or 2 when I have more games because I'm guessing it will be my best ship by win rate

How did you get a game without a million other destroyers?

I was thinking of getting the ship but after doing 6 battle pass events in a row, stopping at the ZF-6 or whatever it is. I go so burnt out lmao I have it on PC but PC wows is aids.

It can easily be picked off in a gunfight if you play around the smoke/sonar combo, which makes it a one trick pony, a fletcher is a better ship in a gunfight in my experience. Legendary tier the Khaba reigns supreme!

Loyang is so far much better than any of the new pan Asian line. The Friesland is superior to the loyang in my opinion thus far.

Don’t tell me this is the best ship in the game. I chose the Friesland primarily so I could get Swerski. Loyang doesn’t have option for deep water torps does it? Anyway I think Fantasque is still the best DD followed by Le Terrible. :) viva la France!
