You might have encountered Riichi Mahjong in the Yakuza series, by watching the Akagi or Saki anime, or you might have seen your favorite VTubers from Hololive or Nijisanji playing. The rules are virtually identical whether you're playing in Yakuza, FFXIV, Mahjong Soul, Tenhou, or Riichi City.

Been learning Riichi Mahjong the past few weeks. Playing games, watching games. Watching and learning a lot from our master yu_song too. Thanks for explaining your moves and thoughts! But now when I see a west tile in-game I can only hear Vivienne Westwind in my head. I can't stop it and it's all your fault. <3

Draft mode with a few friends for MTG with boster boxes is fun. Especially when everyone's around the same skill levels. Then you can keep what ever holo or rare cards you drafted :)

Su yong, the best magic the gathering format to play with friends is commander! You can get pre constructed decks for like 40 bucks. A booster box of the newest set could be fun for a draft night with 5 others, otherwise you wont actually get that much out of it. You can build some mediocre decks but not anything thatll be fun for that long.

I'm loving watching & learning from these videos. As someone with friends who regularly come together and play riichi mahjong IRL and play tons of Mahjong Soul with those friends even more frequently, it's pretty great watching someone else playing and seeing how their strategy differs from my own.
