Finally had a good evening today. First found a full odds meditite which i first couldnt encounter because it was next to the hidden ninja, but as soon as i talked to the guy i encountered shiny meditite. After that i continued for shiny tyrogue and got it (without it being sparkling) on the second encounter.

Lol, yeah, it’s weird how sometimes you get a blessed chain. Mine was, oddly, was kricketot. I got it to 40 and went for only shinies. After a few, I stopped holding out for 4 away ones. Just went to whatever. 3 away, 2 away, even 1 away, the darn thing wouldn’t break! I didn’t want that many shiny bugs, but after years of shiny hunting, I couldn’t intentionally break the chain. Went to 66 before it finally let me go >.< left me with almost a box full of shiny golden bugs. But hey, one was hidden ability, so that was cool ^^ I had no idea that kricketune had such an awesome hidden ability (technician).

Reversal: have a lucky shiny pokeradar hunt with a back 2 back 2 back shiny and a double shiny patch and a very long chain Me: gets a shiny Larvitar in a non-shiny patch, 5 minutes later a shiny full odds Ralts, a shiny non-shiny patch Budew 2 minutes later and a shiny Beldum in a 4 chain the chain just after. (Reversal is Stiller way luckier then me :) )

I was also chaining Nidoran M for 3 days because of the 2% chance encounter rate at route 201 which is extremely a pain in the ass, and I just got 12 shinies and broke my record for 52 highest chain. If you're persistent, RNG will really sway your way.
