Unfortunately the best lyricists tend to fly under the radar in place of the 'commercial' rappers who rely more on one-liners and a strong beat. People don't take the time to listen to lyrics and base their interest in music on how bass-boosted the kick is. It's a real shame that some of our best rap/grime artists never got the attention they deserved (notably Wretch, Ghetts, Avelino, etc).

@@deanmillward94 I completely agree, but I'm comparing these artists to the likes of Central Cee, Ardee etc. And considering how big the gap between them is in both skill and exposure it's very disappointing. "How can I be homophobic, my bitch is gay" and "When I beat it I ain't wearing a johnny" outperform any Wretch/Akala/Avelino/Ghetts track in sales which is disheartening.

Nobody ever catches the Andy Warhol bar it’s so subtle . He mentions picssso first then he said van goes but the double entendre’s is van gough the Artist. Then he says (and theses)(Andy )kicks are war holed (Warhol )

Avelino is amazing and you can hear the remnants of Wretch 32 in his bars although he is very much in his own lane now as a top tier performer. His Daily Duppies are not to be missed, both excellent with amazing bar with doubles and triples throughout - Great reaction, you have a great channel

Man it feels like I been waiting so long for you to get to this! IMO this was _the_ best track of 2019. Still in my daily rotation, Dave bringing his trademark social commentary but with more bars, schemes and wordplay than usual, Avelino bringing his top wordplay, punchlines, flows and of course that now iconic, vintage sounding, fresh af beat. Perfection.

Thank you so much for taking this reaction on. Another great reaction from Avelino is “Origami” and from Dave is “Streatham”. Dave and Stormzy teamed together for “Clash”. Another great British young rapper is Aitch, “Straight Rhymes” and “Mice” are his best two. Finally two Daily Duppy’s that are essential are Avelino’s first one and Wretch 32s “Redemption” duppy.
