The MAC 5 Full Size Pistol! A GOOD DAY For Roller Locks! 

Picked one up today. Went home to see how compatible it was to my SP5. All parts could be swapped out between the two. Mags worked fine in both and I will say I like the trigger on the MAC 5 better than the H&K. Felt smoother on fire but the reset is not quite a crisp as the H&K. For $950, a bargain. My mag button was installed just fine. One difference is the trigger housing has the pin in front vs no pin on the SP5. Flash hider from the MAC worked fine on the SP5. Range time coming up.

I had one of these two years ago lol, imported by Century Arms, same exact gun made by MKE in turkey. They're excellent, just like an HK.

This is the golden age of MP5s in the USA with affordable choices that run great. Glad to see this available. What is the holdup with SDS getting approval for the importation?

if you buy the MAC 5 make sure you check your bolt gap. mine was way under spec. I sent SDS a email will see what happens

Have your gunsmith check the bolt gap on your MAC 5. I am a FFL and gunsmith and just purchased one of these to evaluate and found that the one I have has no bolt gap at all. HK specs are .25mm to .45mm which is .010 to .018 inches, With no bolt gap at all means that the rollers are not engaging in the recesses of the trunnion fully and therefore what you will have is almost a direct blow back firearm. This will cause undo wear on the firearm and shorten it's life. This is not good. I urge all of you that have purchased one of these MAC 5s to check the bolt gap on your firearm.

Just purchased and picked up today. One issue so far is the 3 lug flash hider. The locking latch will not release in order to install it. Tried so many different ways to unlatch and nothing works short of using a hammer! Does anyone else have this issue?

I'm confused is this a new production I thought Mac doesn't make anything anymore I guess I've been under a rock how much did it cost

Button rifled barrel over cold hammer forged is one thing, but totally unlined makes it pretty bad. No thanks.

Looks nice, but I'm not buying anything from Turkey. PTR makes a nice one made in the USA.

I bought an ap5 …made in Turkey . Unreliable … straight broken gun . “500 rd break in “. What a Joke . Buy HK or nothing at this point , sucks , I really wanted it to be ok
