This is a walk-through of how I set up for ceremonies and cocktail hours using the Mackie Thump Go and the Mackie mobile mix along with Phenyx Pro mics. This is not a paid endorsement and I have purchased these items with my own money.

Do you ever run two cables from your output on the mixer to the inputs on the speaker to get both the right and left channels or does the mixer automatically combine the right and the left into a single mono out.

Great video could you check out the links you have for the mics. I'm looking for the link to the Dual Lapel mics and that amazon link doesn't get me there, it goes to the mixer. Thanks for the content.

I've updated the links. You will have to buy the second body pack separately and then link it up to the receiver. The body pack comes with instructions for linking it up.

You trust these PDP microphones? I have a Everse 8 to use for ceremonies and was about to drop $650 for the EV RE3 mic for ceremonies. I am just so nervous about them dropping out or cutting off. I coule literally buy like 6 of these microphones for the cot of 1 EV. Love all your videos man!!!

I trust them for the vents I do. The wedding ceremonies I normally do only have about 50-75 people in attendance and I am usually able to be within 50 feet of the ceremony. I used to use my Rode mics but I like the PDP mics better.

I am trying to figure out what you mean you can connect subs to the speakers they have a battery? Do your subs have a built in battery or are they able to use the thump go’s battery? Because I would like to get the thrash go and use subs with them
@logisticalstyles
@logisticalstyles 2 месяца назад
I use a power station like a jackery or bluetti to power the subs. The one I use is discontinued but I bought it from Walmart. The subs are connected either with wireless dmx adapters or just a regular DMX cable

Which battery are using in it? And what sub do you have that’s 12” and battery powered?

I use a Pocket Juice Power bank that I bought from Walmart. It cost about $20. The 12" sub is a Harbinger S12 that I power with an Onn power station. The power station is discontinued but you can always get another brand.

@@logisticalstyles thx for the quick response! According to the manual the usb power brick can charge if the mixer is also plugged into power. The included internal cable is usb c to usb a. All of the power banks I see online only charge through usb c or a mini usb, not A. I’ve got an older bank that can in/out w usb a. There are also usb a to usb c adapters. Curious if you’ve tried any of these setups so you can charge the bank when the mixer is also plugged in?

Why not use the Bluetooth on the speakers to link vs the wireless xlr ?
@logisticalstyles
@logisticalstyles 2 месяца назад
The link for the speakers only passes Bluetooth audio and not the mics or anything connected to the other channels.

please help. looking for a loud, clear and bassy loudspeaker and found the mackie 215 and the macki 212 XT which have the same price. To note that am a begineer dj who plays in family parties etc, well up to 120 pax. so, which 1 to go with? the 215 seems to have more bass but is it worth sacrificing the other additional options on the 212 Xt to go for the additional bass on the 215?

The 215 will have more bass than the 212 XT
@yan5362
@yan5362 2 месяца назад
@@logisticalstyles ok but is it that noticeable? Cause the additional options on the 212xt are also nice. The 215xt are out of stock

I'm not sure. I haven't heard them side by side. The bluetooth features of the 212xt are nice but I'd rather have more low end in a speaker than bluetooth.
@yan5362
@yan5362 2 месяца назад
@@logisticalstyles so i better go for the normal 215 which has the same price as the 212XT.

I have a similar setup, but with the Bluetooth I get latency. Do you get latency?
@logisticalstyles
@logisticalstyles 2 месяца назад
Yes, I only use Bluetooth when I am playing music for myself but when I am doing a gig, I always use a cable whenever possible. Bluetooth is nice to have as a back up solution but I'm alway skeptical of it.
