Hosted by Betty White, this TV Special focuses on the 1988 Fall programing on NBC. With special appearances by Mickey Mouse, Johnny Cash, Harry Anderson, Charles Fleischer and Elvira, Mistress Of The Dark.
I wish that disney would put all of the Disney Sunday Movie, The Wonderful World of Disney, and The Magical World of Disney episodes on Disney+... I loved the Michael Eisner intros to all the movies... It made it feel that much more magical! I really miss those days!
A competent Disney CEO would’ve had them uploaded to Disney+ already. Instead, we have to exploit the gray areas of copyright law to get actually good Disney content other than the most basic stuff everybody knows.

"In this corner, 1980s NBC! And in THIS corner, 1990s ABC! Who will come out victorious in the battle for MY HEART?!" I'm dying of glee watching this and it aired when I was seven months old! The Magical World of Disney, The Disney Sunday Movie, The Wonderful World of Disney, Disney's Wonderful World, "Walt Disney"...I CANNOT GET ENOUGH OF THESE, that special MAGIC to them that literally takes me out of this world and back into THAT one...my whole LIFE ago...:):) The closest I still have on tape is The Disney Channel airing of 'The Chipmunk Adventure' from 1994 that begins with commercials for the making of 'The Lion King', 'The Whipping Boy', 'A Far Off Place', and then after the movie the promo with the running wolves:):) I've managed to taste Disney TV of the 90s and the 80s and I must say, 80s has won me again! I love that it was NBC that aired The Magical World of Disney and "Blossom" had a Disneyland episode before ABC got Disney and we were gifted with the awesomely infamous Disney World Sitcoms on ABC, but NBC failed BIG time by not sending all of their sitcom families to Disneyland in the fall of 1988! I mean, they HAD all summer to plan for a huge incredible September premiere:):) JUST IMAGINE ALF IN DISNEYLAND! That'd be MY dream come true...then the Hogans, namely at EPCOT:) Unfortunately that was the end of 'Punky Brewster' and 'The Facts of Life' which is a major loss for Disney-themed episodes as far as I'm concerned (hello, amazing princesses, those five girls!) but the Keatons could have still gone, and the Huxtables would've beaten the Winslows!

Another thing about Walt Disney is that he weren't around, there'd be no music. That's why music is in so many Disney movies that people want to sing along with them.
I can even say the names of the movies. If the people ask me what my favorite Disney movies are, they're Alice in Wonderland, Fantasia, Mary Poppins, Peter Pan, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Lady and the Tramp, Pinocchio, Snow White and the seven Dwarfs, 101 Dalmatians and The Little Mermaid.
I remember some of this Disney stuff including Fantasia, Alice in Wonderland, Pinocchio and Mary Poppins. But most important of all, I remember the classic movie Who Framed Roger Rabbit.
ABC still kept the rights to *Bedknobs and Broomsticks* and *Pete’s Dragon* along with a couple of Touchstone movies. Boomers thought they were getting the short end of the stick, but they were wrong.
ABC kept *20000 Leagues Under the Sea, Bedknobs and Broomsticks* and *Pete’s Dragon* for themselves but showed ultra-cut versions. I actually turned off B&B right after what was left of the song “Eglantine” because I couldn’t bear to see songs I knew by heart discarded for commercials for products I don’t use and TV shows I don’t watch. They also had *Alice in Wonderland, Flight of the Navigator, The Journey of Natty Gann, The Devil and Max Devlin* (all Disney Sunday Movie holdovers) and *Ruthless People, Outrageous Fortune,* and *Down and Out in Beverly Hills* (which were obviously deemed too raunchy for the anthology show even in bowdlerized-for-television versions) along with *One Magic Christmas.*
