HOLY SHIT On a more serious note, I have a feeling that the Security Detail was definetly Starkwall and that they're this universe's much more organised equivelant to our Ritual-Busting Mean Old Lady Gertrude Robinson

I used to work at a Thrift store that accepted donations. So I loved the story. Got spooky item delivery taking over someone's business again and all I can think about is the medical students episode but this time with employees.

I love how all these statements seem to be collaborative between the Fears. This felt like The Web The Slaughter and The Stranger came together.

There are SO MANY cool things to point out, which the comments are doing alot, so im gonna say something i havent seen yet; What exactly does promotion mean for the OIAR team? - Working external affairs will probably mean she goes out and finds the entities, right? I wonder if she'll become an eye avatar out of it, like Jon did. Also I have a feeling the first Avatar attacking the OIAR will come about from Gwens snooping around. I wonder how Collin is going to react to Gwens promotion too (does he KNOW there are Fears and Avatars out there? Or just Something out there, listening.) yeah idk about the "the entities are desires" theory now, while i was really convinced the fears wouldn't show up in tmagp(at least not before something actively released them) this episode feels VERY stranger and buried coded. i'm getting even more curious now. is this just coincidentally stranger coded? wtf is the supernatural system in tmagp? i've got no idea anymore i can't wait to chew on some more episodes

SCREAMING THIS EP IS SO LOADED WITH EVERYTHING

WHAT okay there’s a lot to unpack here. Spoilers for, like, the entire Magnus Archives. First, my theory on Celia. Don’t quote me on this, but I believe there is no chance that the reference to tape recorders, the buried, AND flesh was a coincidence. Celia also says that she remembers Jon’s voice from somewhere. Celia knows something. She is either unaware that she knows or is deliberately hiding something, or somewhere in between. My very young theory is that Celia is somehow connected to Annabelle Cane (probably butchered the spelling there), as a sort of reincarnation or the web planted her there as part of their ever twisting scheme. Second, the jmj theory is very nearly confirmed, because just after Celia says she recognizes Jon’s voice, we hear Sam talk about getting an email from someone named JON. So that means we have near confirmation that Chester is indeed Jon in a computer, or Rusty Quill is just giving us hope only to snatch it away at the last minute again *cough* MAG199-200 *cough cough* MAG160 *cough* … sorry, no idea what happened there. Those episodes don’t even exist. Heh. Thirdly, the actual statement I mean case itself. I see a distinct correlation to Selasa (sorry, I’ve never learned the spelling of these names) with the weird items and all, with a bit of stranger mixed in there as well. Finally, I’d like to point out the fact that Celia was not shaken by the statement at all, but Jon’s voice. Out of the two that we know she went through, she wasn’t bothered by any of them.

Ok, but a charity shop with this stuff.... I'd be down for that. Chandelier of dark glass? Pickled hands in a jar? Oversized gramophone? a freakin' DIVING SUIT (sand and all?) blows the charity shops I frequent out of the water. You're lucky to find anything but grandma's (non-bloody) china from the 1940s, weird-smelling kid's clothing, and some Precious Moments figurines. I guess that's how they getcha... Put the diving suit in the window and-- BAM!-- Inside it's just Encyclopedia Britannicas and abstract canvas artwork fit only for hotel rooms.

This episode definitely reads as RITUAL-GONE WRONG (NOT CLICKBAIT)(BUILDING BURNS DOWN) This is on Hilltop road and the items the volunteers were bringing are very reminiscent of some of the fears. If this is a ritual, it follows Elias’ rule that all the fears need to be involved for it to work. My guess is the volunteers were using Hilltop road to hitch a ride back to the TMA universe, which got interrupted by the government people from ep4 who’s name I can’t remember.

Spoilers and a continued theory below So I'm still of the theory that it's not fears in this universe but desires. Every episode so far has had desires as the main focus. Desire for beauty, desire for somewhere to hide, desires for skill and fame as a musician, and in this one, the desire for volunteers and donations. It really seems like this time around its people's desires being twisted.
