As someone who has just recently begun watching your live streams, the way you got jumpscared makes me very happy. Something about the break in the glamorous, silky smooth monologue that makes me think that perhaps, there is the slightest chance that AA is at least partially human and not fully the Olympian God of Oration.

PZ and Kenshi have a lot in common, both were developed over ten years from a single person, and both show how an indie game can become better than AAA games.

When we needed him, he came.

The sound updates have really upped the immersion. The wind chimes from the most recent one while wearing headphones actually sounded like they were somewhere outside, like 3 houses down.

There is a certain poetic symmetry going on here. Yesterday I played PZ watching one of AA's Rimworld vods. I'm currently playing Rimworld while watching a Project Zomboid vod.

I am a new subscriber to your channel and for the past 2 days I've done nothing but binge watch all your Kenshi and RimWorld challenges and I love them!

I wish lockpicking would be added into the game as a "quiet" but time intensive option to open doors.

I watched this stream, and when I said "Don't undersell yourself," (which he didn't see until 14:13) I was talking about his ability to talk philosophy, not soup lol But seriously. I lost a job that I loved on October 13 of this year, and I spiraled into a deep depression. I had only worked there since March, but after working as a wage slave for Amazon for 4 and 1/2 years, it was a welcome change. I had energy again. No one was timing my bathroom breaks with a stopwatch. I wasn't being threatened with my job for every mistake. I ended up in psychiatric care twice during my career at Amazon because of depression and anxiety... I had suicidal thoughts more often than I care to admit and nightmares about my job on a weekly basis. Merck was my ticket out. And without much warning, it was gone. I became dangerously depressed and anxious. I probably should have gone to the hospital, but without Amazon's top tier insurance, I was even more terrified of whatever they would bill me. The thought of going back to long hours, high stress, low pay, and hard, backbreaking work shook me to my core. Between submitting my resume and filing job applications, I scrolled through youtube and social media to distract myself from my situation. One night when anxiety was eating me alive, I decided to give ambiguousamphibian's Project Zomboid CDDA Zero To Hero Challenge another listen. The story of Gerald Williams and aa's tongue in cheek philosophy musings were for me and my troubled mind what a cup of hot chocolate and a cozy fire are for a house in a snowstorm. Maybe it didn't make the difference between life and death, but it brought me comfort during a time when I needed in the most. TL;DR: Listening to ambigousamphibian when I was having a mental health crisis calmed me down enough to sleep because he's the Bob Ross of project zomboid

AA, I have the same issue with "Stuck in the middle with you" but with a much less visceral reaction. One of my favorite tarantino scenes.

Beer will last for quite a long time, but the hops will loose flavour and taste funky after only a few months, so hop rich beer like IPAs will not keep very well. Lagers have a lot less hops so they will stay good for a year without any problems, and darker beers like Stouts and Porters can be kept for years. Dark and cool is the way to go since light will break them down quicker. That's why beer is almost always found in green or brown glass bottles, except for really light beers like Corona, since they're almost like water anyways. Cheers!

I've never experienced Zomboid as a multiplayer game. I just dived into build 41 because it seemed so much better than the previous ones... will be interesting when it finally comes back.

You mention knowing where you are being an immersion breaker and I have to say that it's the opposite for me. I don't wake up in homes that I don't know where I'm at in any way. I leave my house and I know everything within miles of me. Not knowing where a store is completely breaks the immersion for me. I should know where to get gas, how to get groceries, all that stuff. 7dtd makes sense, because you're intentionally left out in the middle of nowhere because you did something stupid. This is Zomboid, where you're at home (maybe are a shut-in?) when the zombie apocalypse hits.

A bit late to the commenting, but I heard mention of beer and it's expiration date and I have relevant information for that specific subject; Beer made with hops is particularly sensitive to UV, as light will quickly cause some part of the hops used to degrade into a sulfur compound. This produces a generally unpleasant/tangy flavor and smell that colloquially is referred to as "skunky". To mitigate this the vast majority of brewers began bottling their beer in dark brown bottles. Some, like Heineken and Corona, use a lighter green or outright clear bottle, because they're actually using the degradation of the hops and it's resulting tang/skunky flavor as part of their intended flavor rather than as a consequence of it "going bad", so to speak. This is why Heineken or Corona from a can will always taste quite a bit different than it does from the bottle. Pressing on; this degradation process in beer (even in those who are using it on purpose) will eventually progress to the point where you just wouldn't drink the stuff. The process can be likened to over-fermentation, wherein normal fermentation has a good result but over-fermentation causes the process to turn bad and ruin the product. The only reason I even bothered to learn this is that in 2019 just before the rona got crazy I had some beer in the bottom drawer of my fridge (which I never actually use for anything) and I forgot it there...like COMPLETELY forgot it there until 2022. I took one of the bottles and gave it the critical "look and see" inspection. I opened it, gave it a moment to breathe, then smelled it. Poured some into a glass, gave it another good long look see, another sniff, then took a sip....much to my surprise, if I didn't know better and somebody told me that beer was new last week I wouldn't have been able to tell you otherwise. It looked, smelled, and importantly still tasted entirely normal. Of the dozen or so I had in there I've got like 2-3 left. I crack one every couple months to give it a go and see if it stays the same. So far, it seems to. That led to me looking up how such wizardry was achieved, only to discover the enemy of beer is UV, and being in the bottom drawer of my fridge, in the cold and exposed to basically zero light, there was really nothing to initiate the degradation process and negatively impact the beer. TL:DR - Beer expiration dates are bogus. Keep that shit somewhere cool, but more importantly not exposed to light/UV, and it's (so far) good for several years at the very least....
