About 20 years ago I was looking on Ebay at amps and came across a thing called The Sonica Musical Instrument. I bought it immediately. A friend and I did some research on it and found they made 650 for Mattel back in 1983. The maker was a dude named Frank Eventoff. We actually talked to him on the phone. He had a patent for "Sensotouch" which is probably what this uses. I sold the Sonica to that same friend. It was strange and bizarre and always made me laugh with joy.

I just recently found that exactly same Deluxe Otamatone from a second hand store for 6€ :D Decided to buy it and try it out since it was so cheap. Well turns out its super hard to play and I haven’t really been playing it recently. I’ll stick to my guitar :D

Hey Rachel, I'm 24 just started learning guitar a few weeks ago trying to nail down my open chords. How long did you practice a day when you were first starting compared to now? I've been trying to do 2 hours everyday, do you think thats overdoing it?

I probably practiced around 1-2 hours a day when I was starting out, but it varies a lot more now. Really whatever works for you and that you are having fun with is great! If you are enjoying it I don't think 2 hours is too much unless it's causing pain/injury. Glad you are having so much fun with it so far!

@@RachelfGuitar I'm 23 and I recently started learning myself ( I do have a piano background though ). I either can't mute the other strings properly, or I mute the string I'm not supposed to mute because the edge of my finger slightly touches the string either way next to the one I'm fretting for chords. Did this happen to you as well?

@@usuallyclueless4477 Definitely! I feel like proper string muting is one of the trickiest things to learn with electric guitar. With explicit practice it will get easier over time though, probably to the point where you usually don't have to think about it anymore! But even after playing for a while now sometimes I do need to focus on it depending on the scenario.

I don't know what those high notes were, but my neighbors dog broke through my apartment wall and did my laundry. It was weird. He usually knocks at the front door.....
