Beautifully done! What a wonderful piece. Anytime I can feel the Spirit of God touching me I know I have experienced a special moment. Listening to you sing gave me just that. Thank you
Every tribe and tongue, bought by the precious blood of Jesus, praising him together, forever! BEAUTIFUL! God's blessings on you and your choir! Keep SINGING until he comes again... and then all his people will join in that great, glorious, redeemed choir of heaven. When y'all hit that wide crescendo and that big chord at the end, I think the tears shot past my cheeks and hit my desk. WOW! I love the extra Alleluias at the end. Can't wait to sing with you on that Day!!! Love, In Christ, Matt
I must have listened to this for the umpteenth time and it sill gives me the chills and brings tears to my eyes. Gives a beautiful scenery of what heaven might be like. Thank you for such inspiration!
This is the best, most heart-felt performance--and I don't want to call it a performance--I've heard to date. I can tell it's really a prayer, prayed by the singers. I've known and sung this anthem for years, and you sang it, prayed it, the best. Thank you.
Psalms 8:4-5 (NKJV) 4. “What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him? 5. For You have made him a little lower than the angels, And You have crowned him with glory and honor.”
Awesome so beautiful my daughter sung this song with her high school concert choir. She love this song ,and cu ng it in completions at college. Won't first place She went to be with the Lord at 38years of age. She listen to this song everyday for weeks before she died. .
Among God's creation in the entire universe, from tiny creatures, to the deepest seas, huge animals, and colossal heavenly bodies, He is still mindful of a sinner like me... This thought touched my heart so deeply...
Lynn & I are PRIVILEGED TO HAVE HAD TOM FETTKE AS OUR SOLOEST AT OUR 1968 WEDDING, at Oakland, Ca., Covenant Church on Lake Merritt. What a dedicated servant and talent to compose Christian harmonic music with a message for those that love Jesus as Tom's.
This hymn always clam my mind, and praise the Lord from the bottom of my heart. With your beautiful voices, this hymn become more beautiful. Thank you!
Yes, totally! I know this song well, and in those measures leading up to that moment, I was bubbling with anticipation and thought...are they going to hit it? Talk about a hallelujah of a home run on those high notes! Aaaaaalllll the notes were wonderful! ;-) (See my other comment above) Worth every effort - Keep singing! We're singing this as a goodbye to our choir leader and his wife on June 13. Pray for us and for them as they transition to a new ministry after many years. Blessings to you.
I am saving this as one of my favorites they sound better than choirs larger than them with excellent depth of tone. I would go to church every Sabbath if they were singing.
Absolutely INCREDIBLE! This is my favorite song of all time and genres, and you nailed it!! The musicians are awesome. You probably already know the reeds are severely out of tune in the organ. I only say this because I would want to know if it were me, not to be critical. That said, the organist should be a LOT louder, especially on the big crescendo part! Y'all are just AWESOME. I want this song at my funeral----I wish y'all could be the ones to sing it!
A lovely arrangement yet I prefer the Oakwood University Aoelian Choir which is the best that I have ever heard! Their shaping, phrasing and breath control is out of this world!
I don't particularly enjoy the scooping at nearly every note, but I am glad to hear that it was made unique unto their styling. This group gave this lovely piece their own artistic rendering. Charming.
I particularly enjoy the swelling especially to complete a phrase (I think you're referring to the beginning where they punctuate the beginning phrases, but that ends with in a few strains). Goes to show that you can't please all the people all the time! I for one don't like the generic university choir rendition with no life that sounds like: every. single. other. choir. :) I found this one absolutely delightful!
Excellent blend of sections BUT majesty...(tall mouth maybe) and I can almost feel every breath. Just let it flow like the magnificent feeling you all are probably experiencing about the music you all are making!!!!!!
Beautifully done. How I love this glorious praise song. God bless you all for a truly gorgeous arrangement. We did it 3weeks ago. It affects me like the Hallelujah Chorus... just feel like God could just lift us right up into Heaven...😇☺😅
I hope that the fact that your web link does not work isn't an indication that your group is defunct. Because I was really looking forward to hearing you in person!!
I love the original Fetke composition.. This seems to be the same arrangement however, the ending is different. I don't want to think someone is taking liberties with someone else's music without permission. Otherwise, this is absolutely gorgeous. The balance and blend are superb.
I have two questions: Do you follow Jesus' teaching on prayet? Matthew 6:5¶“And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. 6“But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.fn 7“And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words. 8¶“Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him. Doyou observe Lord's table every week? 1 Conrinthians 11:23¶For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread; 24and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take, eat;fn this is My body which is brokenfn for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” 25In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” 26¶For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes.
