Oh what a fun video, I'm glad you posted this!! 😊 I enjoy the interaction so I'll answer all the Qs here. *1. How long have you been collecting makeup?* 2015-2016 was the era where a lot of things started for me in earnest. I began broadening my horizons a lot with new music, new people, new hobbies, and makeup was certainly a part of that. *2. What kind of collection do you have? (Minimal, utilitarian, aesthetic, historical, etc.)* My collection is of a generous/ample size I would say, but I don't add to it all that much these days and just replace what's needed. *3. Are you a completionist?* Absolutely not. *4. How do you store/organize your collection?* Wherever there is space. It's really hard being someone that moves to a new place every 2-3 years, so I have to stay flexible. *5. What is your favorite thing about your collection?* How colorful it is, with a good percentage representing woman-owned indie brands. *6. What is your least favorite thing about or something to improve your collection?* I am very very happy with the vast majority of makeup products I have purchased, but the biggest area of improvement is my brush collection. *7. What is the biggest category of your collection?* Definitely eyeshadows. *8. What is the smallest category of your collection?* Lash + mascara primers. *9. Do you have a "holy grail" in your collection?* I still haven't yet found another lash glue that works on me better than D-Up (Japanese brand). *10. Do you ever wish your collection was bigger, smaller, or is it complete?* The day that I stop going to as many events (and also helping people with cosplay stuff), then my makeup collection could definitely become a bit smaller after that. I do need to do something about my brushes, but at least those don't expire lol. *11. How often do you declutter makeup in your collection?* I go through my entire collection probably at least twice a year, and declutter as needed. *12. Do you ever get envious seeing other people's makeup collections?* Not so much the makeup itself, but people who don't have to move as often as I do and have everything organized beautifully. I'm more envious of their makeup space/s and storage solutions lmao. 😅 *13. Who on RU-vid has the best makeup collection video?* Christine McConnell's makeup collection is actually very modest, but in terms of her whole lifestyle and aesthetics it's hard to beat. I rewatch her makeup video at least once or twice a year. *14. What's some advice you'd give to a future makeup collector?* If you are anything like me then be careful how many brushes you are buying. Your preferences in application will continue to change/evolve, and there's still good innovations happening on that side of beauty, so you can have a bit more patience when it comes to tools.
We have so many similar answers and I love Christine McConnell's channel, too! Her vintage makeup collection is swoon-worthy. What kind of cosplay stuff do you do??
@@TooMuchTash Oh that's awesome!! 😁 I only figured out earlier this year that Christine McConnell has a whole bunch of unlisted videos on her channel, so I'm gradually watching those and trying to catch up. 🙂 I have no skills with anything too elaborate (e.g. I don't do prosthetics or anything), but I help my friends with bright/cutesy and sometimes editorial makeup for their cosplay outfits. It's mostly anime stuff like Jolyne from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. 💚
Thank you for the shout out!! Love tag videos so we can get to know content creators better on a different level. I think you answered these great, quick and to the point! 🥰🥰
I love how you answered the last question! I wish I’d heard that advice when I first started getting into makeup, because I for sure went overboard because I got caught up in the excitement of it all.
A beautiful eye look complimented by the whole make up look. I started watching your channel again after your recent makeup inventory. I really enjoy your usage content.
