I think part of the reason Kygo's music feels so emotive despite being (relatively) minimalist is the fact that he plays so many of the synth parts in on the piano. Even if they end up getting quantized or edited just the fact that he is jamming out parts physically instead of programming them in gives them a really natural and human feel I think.

I like the makin of videos by Kygo! At first I wondered how Nile Rodgers had contributed to the song, but now I have my answer.

This brought me back to wehn i firsr discovered Kygo and the sound he had that got me falling in Love with back then. I started my edm journey as a tropical house nerd with fire stone and his cut your teeth/younger remixes before he blew up. This brings me back to that era and im here for it all .
