@@andrewstevenson9070 kygo minimalistic? U should listen very careful to his music. In my opinion all the small things he uses is what makes his songs so good. So many aspects merged together perfectly.
compared to other peoducers he tends to have fewer sounds. For way more complex tunes, check out KSHMR- he’ll blow your mind away, he also does “how songs are made” videos.
I'm 19 and have been producing since 13. Although I've focused on harder hitting EDM tracks like bigroom and progressive house, after watching kygos studio session for I'll Wait, I just finished my first tropical house track. I've learned so much. The biggest thing I learned is that stock plugins like Sculpture are not as bad as others say, and that they can actually be used for plucks like kygo's. I also learned that I overproduce a lot and that I need to focus more on the journey and emotion of the track instead of making things super complicated.
Tbh there's actually nothing hard about this, but the way he makes his chords and melodies is really unique one! Definitely knowing to play piano is a big step up as a producer
@@rohitdsharma1293 Not really, but what the comment above said is true, that it's not hard to do what he does in the program but the creativity and the idea is something not everyone has and that's what makes his music so special.
I think that’s where you are wrong. Chords can be the same but it’s the rhythm, melodies, and sounds that makes it different. Not everyone can do the same thing like this
Mandarin same!!! That piano sound so good!!! I literally want to my piano to sound like that too, it sounds so perfect for a mono piano.. Has perfect high end as well as other frequencies too..
@@mohammedalsane66 That piano sound is from Nexus. It's called dance piano 2k7. But you can make a logic piano sound a bit like that if you make some EQuing, delay, and reverb.
Love the guitar in the background. I feel like he keeps a piece of Avicii alive in every one of his songs and it's amazing. Kygo is truly the person meant to pick up where Avicii left off.
Wow, so helpful seeing the tools/plugins Kygo is using. Lots of basic Logic stuff. Besides having world class singers sending him vocals, this is all so accessible. Thanks for sharing Kygo!

I think weave replayed Freedom more than Kygo during the edit process. Awesome voice, melody, words....my body responds naturally to it everytime. Skateboard session is amazing with this song. You guys rock, thank you.
