The Making of 'Gravity' - Part 1. 'Gravity' out now. Order at bfmv.com/gravity Directed by Ryan Chang. Follow Bullet For My Valentine on / bulletformyvalentine / bfmvofficial / bfmvofficial www.bulletformy...
Yeah my buddy and I are writing a rock album (just for fun). And even just from this little weekend art project, I’ve realized how much of a love/hate writing and recording can be. The highs are high and the lows are low
I think this album they focused more on the emotion and lyrics of the song. Not just all head banging, double basing, heavy metal. It was difficult for them to write this album because they were so used to all of the head banging, double basing heavy metal. IMO i genuinely enjoyed this album.
Would you believe this is my favourite record by Bullet. I've been listening to the band since 13 long years, still I found this album to be more vehement and imo it has that emotional touch. What makes me sad is we'll never get another record similar to this one, because they're probably gonna back to their heavy metal roots now. But yeah I'll always find myself enjoying this record when the world is all silent and when it's night.
I fucking hated it. As an old bullet fan, ask the head being and heavy metal screams is what we want, not this trash.... This album is not bullet for my valentine, should've changed the name after they booted Jay and Moose
You guys really bounced back with Venom. Then you guys come up with this stuff. I loved this album but I can see why people are upset. Matt poured his fucking heart into this album, being a Bullet fan from 7 years old, I would love to see you guys do some more masterpieces like Fever, Scream Aim Fire, The Poison, etc. Love all your albums, but if you want the community back on your side, you need to put some stuff back out there.
Been your fan since The Poison and will always be. I know that this album is gonna be beyond expectations! Congratulations and thanks guys. For this legendary album...You've teased a lot since months but now we all deserve it! Dont we? ☺
He is so good live 😍 it just feels bullet aren’t using anyone’s potential, not great riffs for Padge, no intense drumming, no dual screaming with Matt and James and Matt’s clean vocals sound so robotic almost like they are played out of a synth 😩 don’t need you was such a popular song, they should’ve gone in that direction, people who have listened to the album early have said they hear hints of R&B.... fuck💔
Its refreshing to see a band like bullet getting writer's block and still manage to push through and come out with something so badass. It shows that it happens to the best of us
I love you guys one of the best bands ever you rock can't wait to hear the new album I'm your #1 fan I have all your albums much love to all the guys in bfmv from iowa

We’ve put so much blood, sweat and tears into this,” he resigns, “that for people to not give it a chance or pre-judge it before even listening- that’s the downside of what we do. But we’re confident in what we’ve produced, and we’ve done it from the heart. It’s honest. -Matt Tuck bfmv
@@triumphtheinsultdog1550 You're absolutely right. I can't understand what are they expecting? It's not a shitty pop album, it's an original creation. I think they're not understand from music. Writing a song , that's not an easy job. Everybody should be respectful 'cause they're working so much.
merryconnor93 Oh... pathetic! 😢 I can see the pain through his eyes since 2017... he seems almost broken... And maybe this album is a dedication about his dark times...
@@shamsuthtabrizkhan5335 that's what sucks uk? He has put so much of efforts and his personal experiences into these songs and what people gave him in return? "Not a single solo" .... "Not that heavy"... "miss the old bullet". Sucks to know that people really don't care what these beautiful souls go through and make for us. Gravity is a dope album, I will never stop enjoying it.❤
This record gave me tears in a good way. This record came on the right moment when life was being a bitch. Music is good when it touched your soul and ‘gravity’ touched mine... this album will support me through it All. Thank you bfmv! Btw gmm2018 was amazing!
New York Giants You know it will be good. Then they will do like a country metal album. It will fail, then they will do an album called "The Poison Part 2".
*Hopefully mix and master on the album will be better than on the singles. The songs are amazing but sound a bit demoish.* There's definitely a little bit of room for improvement.
You guys are the ones that got me into the metal musically genre. The first song I listened to was Waking The Demon. After that, you guys have been my favorites, and I started listening to other bands as well. Long story short, you guys made me a metalhead, rock on!
They made me a metal head too . Waking the demon was their peak. I'm no longer a fan butt will only listen to the albums up to fever. Everything after fever isn't bullet for my valentine anymore. They got soft and for a meal band, especially a metalcore band to go soft is a slap in the face to ask the old fans that have them what they have. Not anymore not from me
You guys tried this with Temper, Temper and admitted it failed, and it didn't even sell that well compared to your other albums. Y'all have not played any songs from it live since that tour was over. Then when Venom came out, it did sell well and you guys basically said "we've learned that people like you for who you are and you can't be something you're not". One album later, y'all got that Temper, Temper mindset again and disregarded everything y'all stated only 2.5 years ago. Lol I wish y'all the best of luck but so far the singles are pretty mediocre.
I have the gravity record and dont mind it. Yeah I also have poison and some of there other older and heavier stuff but i dont mind Gravity. I love different styles of Metal as my 3 favorite metal bands are Slipknot,Trivium, and Cannibal corpse. I like gravity cause it's a great album to chill to and bop your head as well. Ppl get older and want to do different things instead of the same cookie cutter BS. Ppl be like well Cannibal corpse is death metal and it all sounds the same, well no it does not actually. Cannibal as they have gotten older I feel have become more technical in some areas which can give em a different sound in some areas. Like drum beats and solos here and there. But obviously they still the cannibal we all love. Bit I am dragging on. Kudos to bullet on doing what they want and love cause if u dont love it then why do what your doing any longer.
Personally bfmv is a heavy band some light stuff mixed in is great but to be mostly light this go around wasn’t a good call. I respect the mindset and breaking the mold and don’t shake on them for that. Theirs a point in every musicians career where it’s time to try something new.
My bf and I absolutely love the new album! I listen to it at least 2 times a day. We already have tickets to your Atlanta concert (had them for months). We’re so excited! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Thought I'd really miss Moose but after seeing you guys live and how this "new" guy adds flair to the drums his own way I think he actually added to the skillset of this band. Love it.
Glad to hear that John, because in this work of theirs there's a GREAT lesson to learn: it's totally ok to change a bit your sound if the result is still amazing and actually in the band's signature line of work. The songs of Gravity released so far fit the bill perfectly!
So I like the album, but I definitely love BfMV because of the metal sound. These songs will pair up nicely with their back catalog for a live show. It will give a show some moments to breathe and its definitely going to make the older heavier songs pop more during a show.
These behind the scene takes on the making of the album are always cool! Can’t wait to hear the record live when you guys come to Wichita, KS this year!
I did not like this album at all, I wanted to watch this video to see what the mindset was making this album and I have to say it was the wrong one. There's a difference between experimenting with the sound and creating a whole new sound that is nothing like what the band has been. Disappointed that the album has way too poppy vocal melodies, too much electronics, and no guitar solos at all. That being said I still love Don't Need You and Breathe Underwater, and this still is better than Temper Temper
@G.R I listen to a lot of bands that don't do solos (KsE, Parkway, WSS) so it's not like you need a solo to make a song good. But Bullet built their sound on having them in their songs. No not every song needs one, but when you got guitarists as good as Matt and Padge who can play their asses off, not having even one solo on the album feels like they just didn't care
@G.R probably not, but I'd still feel like something was missing. Like I said, you can't take a huge element you built your sound on out of your music. It'd be like if they stopped screaming a whole album. A couple songs without screaming wouldn't make a difference but a whole album would feel weird (see Silence in the Snow by Trivium, not a bad album by any means but still strange when you know their other music)
Expectations couldn’t be lower after the singles. Poor riffs, no solo’s, boring lyrics, mix sounds so poor. Jason is a class drummer, why make him sound so crap. And Jamie, please go back and start Revoker up again, that was proper metal!
The album is just a bit ‘eh’. The band has kinda lost its touch since JJ left tbh, he had an influence on Venom and that album fucking ripped. This one? Meh.
It is amazing the level of mediocrity of Matt Tuck to say that the new drummer of Bullet For My Valentine is better than moose is it really? Matt has drugs in his head or does he have someone to tell me ?? Moose is a great lord of the battery Jason Bowld never fill the great void that Mr. Thomas left in the battery this is simply garbage the band sold for a few dollars more in their pockets than shame! 😑
Am I the only one who thinks "leap of faith" and "under again" are two of their best ever songs? In my opinion only "Your Betrayal", "Tears don't fall" and maybe "you want a battle? Here's a war" are better than those two
Gravity seems like it's going to be the worst album ever.... poor bullet you're my favorite band..;( matt I know this album is all you and about you but c'mon. Don't need you gave me hope for this album. But now I know it's really soft, repeating riffs the whole song, and no solos and not much screaming. And the drums ;/. Well there's always the next album.
