It's a common "habit" - cats grooming each other is an essential way for them to communicate and create a strong bond. Cats have anal glands, and so they pick up scents from each other in that area. Also keeping clean is an important survival instinct, so potential predetors won't be able to smell them - which is why older cats often groom kittens in that area until they are old enough/skilled enough to do it themself. 😺

I'm sure they're fine. If you look at this channel's history, they did the same thing with Haru growing up. There's 200+ episodes of him being kitten sized, then abrubptly a video posted a day after the last episode where he's fully grown. A commenter pointed out that he tripled in size in a day. The videos don't technically say "day whatever" in the title, just episode number -- which still feels a bit deceptive as I personally was watching these episodes every day in hopes of enjoying watching the cats actually grow up.
