A traditional luzzu sailing on the horizon by the protective and watchful eye of Osiris or luzzu eye. This symbolic feature, found on many traditional Maltese boats, acts as a good luck charm to watch over fishermen on their journeys. The sunset, created thanks to the pupil of the eye, encapsulates the end of a long day for the fisherman and that it’s time to go home.

I'm an *Arab* from Tunisia and can understand him perfectly (despite some Italian pollution)! These boatmen form the "weakest link" between the *Arab* world and Malta (and consequently Europe) maintaining Maltese as part of the *Arabic* dialect continuum. From the Hijaz, Levantine, Egyptian, Azadigh, Maghrebian, Tunisian, Tunisian coastal isles and *Malta* completes the *Arab* picture.
