A very good morning William, I was just watching an old Laramie episode (1960 episode #8 with George Nader) and the old "The man and the challenge" series popped into my head. I was very pleased to find old episodes of this great (although very short lived) series here on RU-vid. I was 10 years old at the time and watching this old one made me realize my 73 year (74 in just 3 months) old brain really isn't as shot as I believed. I loved taking this trip down memory lane. The Rail jet shot at the beginning of the show was at Edwards Air Force base just North of the south gate. some of the rails and ties are still there today!!
Finally!! I've been searching for the image of logs coming out of a car trunk for years. I could not remember the show, but the image was burned into my six-year-old memory.
It was the theme song that was burning through my feeble mind that made me look up this old gem of a TV show. I was getting it confused, though. with the "Science Fiction Theater" theme, which I also liked. I watched it 'till it was replaced by this. Took me a while to warm up to it, but obviously I did.
So, when he takes the slowing-stuff-down drug, it only works when he decides it will (when we hear the celeste music), but when he's just talking to people everything seems normal-speed. Hmm.
All I ever see on the Internet are these 2 episodes. Are there any other ones available? Please upload more of Man and the Challenge. There were more made then these 2. Paul
I think I found two mistakes. 1. Shooting the aces inside and no holes in the wall. 2. In the confrontation, the dropper calls the doc "Doc". How did he know?
