"9 out of 10 times a Tiger becomes man-eater when incapacitated by a wound, possibly by a gun shot or rarely by porcupine quill, or in the 10th case due to old age." - Jim Corbett, The greatest man-eater hunter of all time.
They cut grass in their farms, tigers stay away from farms, but some wonder away and seeing humans as easy prey continue to eat them, hence the tiger had to be put down.
The village people should have the right to protect themselves, look at all the money the government spent, that's a ridiculous law, that you can't protect yourself.
Indian Forest Service is one of the three All Indian Services . Others are IAS and IPS. They earn huge respect and also good positions in government like Secretary to Government. The examination is too hard to crack. If I pass I would definitely go for it. Because the Forest service has hardly demands IFS officers into their field once or while in their service. We can both enjoy and protect the nature. It’s a beautiful service to work but very difficult to crack the exam.
We are know the price of humans lifes but not underestimates the Tiger is National Animal of India..protect our Natinal Animal as well as the villagers.. Jay Hind
Tigers are apex top of the the food chain. It really sucks when people is hurt or killed. I think it happens because the tigers habitat is being taken over. I really sad that the tigers had to be put down
She was a 2-3 year old tigress, in search for her territory. She could have been easily tranquilised and shifted to another reserve.. attacking 2-3 humans doesn’t make a tiger maneater. The problem is we don’t have a clear definition of ‘maneater’ in this country. If someone goes in a core area of a tiger reserve and is attacked, the tiger is immediately termed as maneater. This is exactly what happened to Avni. We are looking at a certain extinction of this majestic beasts in very near future.
It's always a very sad day when people decide to kill instead of using non lethal options to deal with a so-called maneater. As far as maneaters are concerned, we're a very easy and low risk meal. Every predator hunts an animal that is less likely to injure them and unfortunately people are easy pickings. That doesn't justify killing them though. Predators and people can coexist without bloodshed. But takes a lot of work and dedication. Some villages and cities have already implemented programs that really do work. But for most killing is just easier.
Once a tiger kills a human they will usually continue to do so because we are easy prey. Which is why they need to be killed. If such a tiger has offsprings she will teach her cubs to hunt man.
@@bonniestewart2654 That is so untrue here is a real fact "Once a tiger kills a human they will usually continue to do so because we are easy prey. Which is why they need to be killed. If such a tiger has offspring she will teach her cubs to hunt man."
Maneaters don't stop, they continue to hunt humans that's why we kill them, it's not hunting for sport or fun, it about killing a potential predator to save human lives.
I raised a orphan tiger cup once, she did not even bite once, she was good well behave and loved , but the law doesnt allow to raised a tiger as pet , she was taken and put in a sanctuary She died at the age of 8, its so sad to see tiger killed, rather than catch it and put in a sanctuary
Shikaries were also around in Jim Corbett's days and they also tried to bag the man eaters that Corbett ended up stopping. Corbett was simply too good.
The tiger and human struggle persists in india largely due to india has the most no of wild tigers in the world due to serious and long standing conservation efforts apart from that rapid inhabitation loss is the major contributor
It appears to me that rather than being shocked by removing one man eating tiger that people should focus their efforts on improving the environment by reducing pollution & smog. I see huge number of schools were shut down the day that this was broadcast.
First, humans go into their territory to make a living. The tiger spots them and tries to make their presence felt. The humans then claim that this jungle should not have anything that is intimidating. Then the tiger/animals get killed. This is ridiculous and needs to stop. Indians, please spare the jungles. There are other places where you can live.
The problem is the overbreeding of humans. All of them getting 4-10 children, and all those children need to be fed, then they grow up and marry, so they need again more ground. It's not the tigers intruding into human territory, but humans intruding into wild territory - all over the world!
@Truthfears - I'd rather do that with your "worthless life (and...)". I don't belong to an overbreeding culture. My children won't take more space than my grandparents did! One can see but in your aggressive thinking where do you belong!
@Truthfears Guilty All you seem to be able to do is talk trash and insult people. You don't even get the actual facts straight. You can take your trashy personality somewhere else because there's no place here for you.
@Truthfears Guilty Really? Is that the best you can do? I already live in an area with 2 different types of predators, bears and mountain lions. There are quite a few of each in my area. We also have coyotes. They can't normally kill anyone except for small children and the elderly. I deal with predators that could easily kill and eat me on a daily basis. Why don't you try go live amongst predators sometime. I already do.
@@thesaintst1851 Yes I would. Because they (animals) do not do it without reason, like humans do. There is always some reason and helplessness behind a tiger turning man-eater. The person who is gone unfortunately, is not going to come back by killing the tiger. So I feel captivity for breeding is better, as they are endangered species. I do not believe in revenge. I believe in good deeds, understanding and peace.
Most people would find it disturbing whenever nature fights back. Every living thing does has a right to live on this planet with us. "Nature isn't the true creator of man-eaters, humanity is the true creator of them". There are many reasons for man-eaters going after humans. I respect all animals even man-eaters. Humans can change the environment around us both in a positive or negative outcome. Nature isn't in our control it'll never truly be in our control. Man-Eaters are a good reason and example to start respecting nature and start learning from other's mistakes and not to repeat them. We can destroy an environment, but we can also fix it too which we should try to help it get better. I wouldn't take a wild animal from the wild to be my pet. I'm a knowledgeable person and I know what I'm talking about. Animals can hold grudges and they can use their grudges to take revenge. Even elephants can turn into man-eaters too. Human-Nature conflict will go on into the future, but we can also educate others about these. In my opinion there should be something for people to be more aware about things like this because there's even consequences in nature too.
Very well said. Humans are the most dangerous animals that exist. We've proven that by killing so many of these beautiful creatures, specifically apex predators, that some are already extinct and others are criticality endangered. People should use their intelligence to help heal the environment which includes protecting apex predators because without them, the different ecosystems in which they live will be thrown into complete chaos.
India has multi serious problems...They need to address these issues...Eradicate tigers should be number ONE on the the list....Law does not allow ??? Apparently tiger lives are more important than human....I am grateful I do not live there...
