This highly engaging workshop will provide participants an opportunity to learn how they can use creative writing tools to help support male survivors' healing journey.
Presenter - Micheal Guinn, MSW
Michael Guinn is an award-winning actor/author/poet/storyteller and one of the most highly sought- after high-energy emcees in the country.
He holds a Bachelors degree in social work from Stephen F Austin State University and a Masters in social work from UT Arlington.
Besides his work with TAASA and other men's organizations, Michael is also a survivor of childhood trauma, who turned tragedy into triumph and is now a professional speaker who facilitates highly engaging creative writing workshops at conferences, symposiums and campuses all over the country. Michael is an Army veteran, and a veteran social worker who works full time providing creative case management for youth aging out of foster care.
He has more than 25 years experience as a speaker and host of events that range from open mics to concerts to galas to award shows.
He is a member of the NAACP Image Awards Voting Sub Committee and currently serves as a board member for four different non profits.
He has appeared in many films, stage plays and commercials and is currently cast in two upcoming stage productions.
