Japan in ww2 was very strong they were one of the first one to actually use fighter plane in war not mentioning their suicide attack and china in ww2 was not even a challenge for japan china was same as india in ww2 although they did fought back not so much to reclaim their territory and japan even challenge USA in ww2 so much so that USA had to nuke them to stop. If you look russia geography the east side of russia in ww2 was very undeveloped which cause problems for their land army, there air force was weak and navy cannot do anything against japanese air force

Russia was fighting on two fronts in WW1 and WW2: Russia in WW1 also had sent men to the Western front to save France from the Germans (even French general Ferdinand Foch himself said France would have fallen if the Russian expeditionary corps didn’t defend Paris and France as a whole: “If France wasn't wiped off the map of Europe, we owe it first to the courage and staunchness of Russian soldiers.") and in WW2 Russia (then part of USSR) fought against the Japanese on the east in several battles on the border and near Manchuko. After Germany was defeated, the USSR could focus on finishing Japan and they did so: destroying the entire well-trained Kwangtung army in less then a month, a magnificent feat. Also, some Russian units still fought against the Germans even after the Brest-Litovsk agreement was signed. So stop talking BS

So hitler invades almost all of europe and he trys to invade the ussr and he is doing good at first but when the winter sets in the germans get pushed back and all of the allies have defeated hitler and are coming for him, and now the allies have more power than hitler had, and stalin now took berin and thats what caused hitler to piss his pants and kill himself.

After the turning point in Stalingrad (1942/43), the German army was retreating each day further and further and the incoming defeat was already obvious from then on. Only then in 1944 the Allie’s decided to intervene after most of the German army and the elite soldiers were already defeated in the East. I think it’s absolutely not an overestimation to say that the USSR did most of the job.

Other countries had a role to play in the war, the USA for example, but the biggest and bloodiest contribution to the fight against fascism was made by the USSR. Please do not write that it was only thanks to winter that Hitler was defeated, it is painful for the people of the former USSR to hear that, when the labour of veterans is belittled and referred to the weather. Study the materials of history more seriously.

Credit to all the brave people who fought for the good. Winter did a good job so cred to it too but actually winter made it fair. Soviet were unprepared for Germany's attack and Germany were unprepared for the Russian winter. It all came down to who's the strongest. Don't forget, USSR killed 80% of german forces.
The attack from the Nazis is without any pre information therefore the Soviet is not ready,after the winter came the Nazis just held their position these 2 weeks gave Soviet to prepare for the war

Be very clear , Stalin just won because of the geography of Soviet Union , had they both been on the same landscape , despite Stalin having a bigger army he would have lost. Hitler was one of the most feared men for a reason.

But Hitler was the best strategist and wise military man other than historic mistake of invading Soviet Union out of over ambitiousness. If you read their biographies and another book called Hitler and Stalin Parallel lives you would be able to figure this thing out. Secondly , history is a mere narrative laden with tons of biases. So , there is a great possibility that facts can be different in books written by the two different parties.

Debatable if it was even close, battle of Moscow was silly, Germans didn't have chance to capture Moscow and was just hunted down by soviet troops, in Stalingrad they had absolutely no supplies or logistics to use, all soviet military factories and mass production sites were deep inside Ural mountain so even if Stalingrad did fall still I don't believe they could capture Moscow, especially considering the allies landing in Normandy and Soviets bombing crap out of Nazi logistics
