My wife and I were in Memphis in February 2010, and stopped by Lansky's. I regret not meeting Mr. Lanksy himself but I've still got his business card, and I bought a shirt from the same business that Elvis did. And my hat's off to Bernard Lansky - Elvis looked sharper than the wrong side of an iron maiden, and he was the one who hooked the King up with those cool threads.
Met Bernard in Memphis, at the Peobody Hotel, got the photo's to prove it, my wife said 'That's Bernard Lansky' he was so obliging,' come on over, take a picture here, it was so nice meeting you, thank you so much,' one of my favourite Memphis memories apart from Sun studios, me, a council house kid visiting Sun and Graceland, work hard,save, and fulfill your dreams, now 70, been to everywhere I've ever wanted to go, I will die happy..
