This video features the armwrestling giant Alexey Voevoda.
Voyevoda holds a good deal of recognition as a professional arm wrestler, also secured several Russian arm wrestling championships. His triumph over legendary arm-wrestler John Brzenk, was immortalized in the feature-length documentary, "Pulling John", directed by Sevan Matossian. The film, "Pulling John", also chronicles his life and training in Russia. He was defeated by Travis Bagent at the 2003 WAF championship, but won the Zloty Tur 2004 cup one year later, defeating high level armwrestlers such as Bagent, Brzenk, Matt Girdner, and Alexey Semerenko.

If you watched that tournament, you'd know what john was up against prior to the voevoda matchup. He fought against many titans and legends prior to meeting up with Alexey, and frankly was pretty burnt out, from his leg of the lineup. Voevoda was a bit concerned after seeing them fall before John, but they were numerous hard fought matches, and ultimately wore down John Brzenk. Arguably, Voevoda had an easier series of matches prior to the championship match with Brzenk, but still won regardless. It's a big talking point in the history of the sport. "What would have happened, if they'd have matched up fresh? Early in the tournament?" That would have been the championship there. Voevoda was phenomenally unbelievablely strong, discipled, and well prepared, and Brzenk was at his prime as the greatest of all time. I think, one of the all-time-greatest matches in the history of the sport. And it demonstrated that the g.o.a.t. was actually human. And showed he was a good sport, who was humble, and could actually become tired.

Levan right now is unbeatable... but I think... there is no real threat, americans are quite weak at this point, the rest is growing but still not enough plus Levan physics are really over the limit and the man is also technical wise. do not make mistake, the man is not only strong and huge, he has skills, that's why I think that Alexey had the right package. 👍

Цыпленков и Пушкарь в свое время мучались с Майклом Тоддом, а Воевода просто сносил Монстра. Впечатляет! Также, если судить по этим нарезкам, он вполне уверенно проходил Брзенка. Жаль, что он покинул арм. Лично у меня сложилось стойкое ощущение, что он рано покинул арм и явно не все сказал в этом виде спорта. Руки у него феноменально сильные. Действительно мощные. Отдельно упомяну и Тревиса Баджента. Тоже силен был парень! В свое время сносил Ларрата. Вообще не чувствовал канадскую легенду

Воевода мало того что был силен как конь так еще и арм знал от А до Я, все тонкости тактику и соперников чувствовал (наша версия Брзенка). Хорошо что он успел передать свой опыт Цыпленкову. За Баджента +1000 любому мог проблем доставить.

Top 5 of all time easily. This dude was a real beast in his prime. But as he said he went vegan. And with vegan nutrition, he couldn't sustain the mass needed to compete with other beasts. His words were " I choose my health instead of arm wrestling". And as we saw from Dennis's case he might choose right. We all still remember him as one of the GOATs.
