Our yard looks like striped carpet too, it requires a particular variety of grass…We are the only ones in our neighborhood that has high breed Bermuda & St Augustin in our backyard. My husband also has a reel mower. And also mows several times a week ( he’s retired) We get compliments all the time, however he is meticulous about fertilizer & maintenance. Thank goodness it goes dormant in the winter months, but even then it requires a minimum amount of care. Greetings from sunny California 😎

Reminds me of my old neighbor. His relationship was going downhill with his wife so he would only spend time outside and mow every day. And then he expected all the neighbors around him to do the same with their lawn and when nobody cared he would hate everyone.

First things first, level your lawn. If it has a ton of bumps in it then the striping won't look as neat.

I hate cutting grass or anything in the garden, I would put my pet sheep in my garden, or the lambs I was bottle feeding. Only thing with that letting dogs out at night the sheep would run into my house. Also when the lambs seen me in the window they would be jumping up at my window wanting to have a bottle of milk, as I would hang out the window to feed them, so they would not get in my house this way. Once they did there job of eating grass, they were back out with the flock.
