I don’t want to talk about our loanees, this seasons signings, players we’ve sold (including youth players), or even the players we’ve loaned out, so I will purely make a point about last seasons transfers, which you said are good. You named Eriksen, who is so old and slow that he can barely play a full game, and he can’t even keep up with a top level team. I’d still call that a good signing considering how much he’s done for us for free, tho. Casemiro was £70m for a 30 year old who lasted one season. Now his legs are gone and he doesn’t suit the way we play, which makes him a liability. He would’ve been good for a third of the price. Lisandro is arguably our best player when he plays, but look at his injuries. Not something that is Ten Hag’s fault tho, so I’ll call it a good signing. Malacia isn’t good enough when he plays, and he’s been injured since pre season. Poor signing, and I genuinely think Alvaro Fernandez might be a better player. As for Antony, he genuinely has more potential as a player than 3/4 of these signings, but we obviously paid about £50-60m too much for him. That’s 2/5 good signings in his “best” transfer window so far. Every other transfer window has been far worse, our loans (in and out) have been worse, and the players we’ve sold have been worse. I still back Ten Hag, but his business in the transfer market (which he has apparently been heavily involved in) has been embarrassing. Hopefully this improves under Ratcliffe and everyone he brings in.

@@oscarjenkins7505 i feel you bro, but in you have mention casemiro's and antony's price tag, but that's not ten hag's fault, in fact this clearly shows how dumb the united board is, if they where competent enough they would have offered a better alternative. Also, I don't know the playing style that you talk about that doesn't suit casemiro (would very like know, if you're willing to elaborate) but casemiro isn't washed up, through my eye (watching real madrid) casemiro has never been a Kante like player, scorching the pitch with speed. But he's always at the right place at the right time to press/tackle and its a fact that even his distribution and playmaking has improved at united. but like the pundits say, we could park a plane in the gap between the defenders and midfielders, i think tacticly thats the problem, for casemiro covering that space all by himself is a load (i think not many can cover) that can be fixed if we get rid of our slow defenders.

During alex ferguson era man u players r highly discipline & they all fear the boss. Now man u players r totally undisciplined & simply going through the games like as if they r on holiday. The fear factor r gone.

Ten Hag is nothing like Arteta and Klopp. You can’t just say “well Arteta and klopp did it so ten Hag will” you could literally say that with any manager. Arteta and Klopp didn’t have massive tactical flaws in their possession and defensive systems and had a high level of Talent ID which Ten Hag doesn’t have. Ten Hag defo is not the man to win the title, he doesn’t even have a clear defined system after nearly 2 seasons.

This season Ten Haag was been so unlucky with injuries. And on top of that the squad we have was never going to compete for titles. Have too many players that have stayed for too long or are just past their physical best. Along with players that are still learning the game Mainoo,Garnacho,Hojlund.

Could you do one where you analyze Todibo, Simakan, Diomande, Inacio, Tapsoba, Antonio Silva and Branthwaite against each other. They are all some of the defenders we have been linked with at some time, and i think an analysis of all together would help in deciding the best options.

Yes they 100% could. We are 6th, 11 points off top 4 and out the CL in the group stage. All of those managers do better jobs. A fee on that list get us challenging with 2 seasons. I don’t know what this narrative is

We could see what klopp and arteta were doing but with ETH there is no style of play and structure is abysmal. He is not the right manager for the job. He has made so many basic errors .

Anyone who’s watched his Ajax sides can see what ten hag wants to do with his teams. Let’s not forget that it was just last season we were in 2 finals and finished 3rd with his philosophy. All I’m saying is that the club should at least let his see out his contract. Let him and INEOS with the right people in place in the structure above him give a go. I think Sir Jim’s point stands about winning managers not being able to replicate in the current united environment.

i don't think the problem is tactical, we have already solved this by sacking Ole, that's also why i also think de Zerbi will not work as well, I think ten hag is better than all these 2, i just believe, getting the players that fits his system and a structure behind is what we need to move forward

Amrabat and Reguilon signed on loan despite the club clearly not planning to do so given the manner of their signing but they were attempting to appease EtH but he wasn't backed in s2? Sancho was also shipped off to appease him by the way. - Licha is the only EtH signing that has definitively improved the team. Casemiro does on paper but EtH has not been utilizing him to his best ability especially this season. There's room for Hojlund to become worthwhile in the long run. The rest have either been flops or non-priority signings. Eth has not improved this squad to over perform or even just perform to standard. He's not raised the level of any individual player either. - This team has been scraping wins the past month but putting out performances that deserve losses hence why the manner of the Fulham and City defeats were inevitable unsurprising results. - My comparison between the managers I mentioned and their performances at their clubs in relation to EtH at United was a conceptual comparison. You misunderstood it to be a superficial comparison. A competent manager (whether top 6 or top 4 or title winning level), gets a team to overperform. Obviously Aston Villa and Man Utd don't have the same demands. - Aston Villa's board have been adamant they eventually want to be in the champions league since they were promoted. They're ahead of schedule as it stands even if they only finish 5th or 6th. It's similar to how Newcastle were ahead of schedule to finish 4th last year. Teams like Villa, Newcastle, Brighton play better football than Utd with worse squads (I wonder why...) but Utd's players are the constant scapegoats. - When did I say Emery should be Utd manager? Would he do better than EtH? Probably, but Emery thrives when he's out of the limelight (Aston Villa, Villarreal, Sevilla). Emery doesn't suit a Utd trying to be a solid top 4 team. The point is EtH is not a serious manager for current Man Utd (top 4 aspiring) let alone a Man Utd trying to progress into a title-challenging side that can at least have a defined attacking philosophy. The players he's choosing to stick by are underperforming, the team was *deservedly* bottom of their CL group, has less than 40 goals in 27 league games, has a *negative* GD in March, 16 losses in all comps and the philosophy he's been brought in to implement is nowhere to be seen. He will be sacked by the new regime and it will be deserved. This club deserves better.

the only other club he's been at above those is Arsenal and he did well there. It wasn't a great squad and he got them to 5th so you can't say that really. We haven't seen him properly at a top club yet. He didn't get the time at Arsenal to churn the squad into a more competitive team. He got 16 months and 78 matches. Not a massive amount of time. He's got a better squad with Villa than what he had at Arsenal! His record of 1.85 PPM is better than par with what he had and he's proving how good he is with Villa. In the relegation zone when he took over. Also the recruitment set-up was a mess when he was at Arsenal. they hadn't appointed Edu yet who is clearly excellent at his job. they were messing around with Sven Mislintat & then Raúl Sanlleh, it was all confused. Now with Villa/Monchi, settled look at the results. Ivan Gazidis left when he was there, then they sold Mkhitaryan/Iwobi and brought in Pepe! it was a mess no wonder it didn't work out and his record was still very good!@@browniebear

de Zerbi defensive organization and structural setup is abysmal. But with better and bigger investment he might just cut it. His vertical approach and possession philosophy is to draw though

The manager is also the problem. Getting rid of Rashford doesn’t solve any of the tactical problems. we don’t even sack managers that often compared to other clubs. We need the right manager not just keeping a manager because we don’t like sacking managers

We are playing without an LB, without a top 4 worthy CB, with a threadbare midfield of an overworked Bruno, inexperienced Mainoo and unfit Casemiro, an average LWF and an inexperienced RWF. Our seemingly “above average” team collapsed the minute Shaw, Licha and Rasmus got injured. How is a team with Maguire, McTominay and Rashford top 4 quality? What tactics would you apply to make these players play any different from their chaotic performances?
