He went through those dark troopers like a hot knife through butter. So satisfying!! (Now it's time to replay Ellie's scream again a few times. Lol.)

No, it looked to me as if R2D2 recognised him. And Grogu recognised R2D2. Somebody took Grogu from the Jedi Temple when it was destroyed in _Revenge of the Sith._ He was hidden. R2D2 was on Coruscant at that time. Just putting that out there.
Luke didn't kill his father, he saved him. And yes that was Mark Hamill, just de-aged. Mark was on set the whole time. He even gave advice to the stunt man on how Luke would fight.
He killed the evil that was Darth Vader, and returned him to Anakin Skywalker. And he did it without using the lightsaber in an aggressive manner. So he was correct... *From a certain point of view* Edit: Also I didn't know about how much Mark was on set. That's great to know he was making decisions on what moves Luke would include in his fight style 5 years after Jedi.
@@LeethLee1 How would Mark Hamill show lightsaber moves? His character never exhibited anywhere near the skill he showed in Mando. I would imagine they'd get someone into fighting choreography to set that up. Mark Hamill doesn't know what Luke's fighting style is, NONE of us really do, which is why the sequels piss us off!

I always like the scenes, shots or sequences that are well done in the last 3 episodes... But I think Mark was probably shunned away in Last Jedi for anything other than his shots like drinking milk from the animal teet :D Ahhh the sequels.

The Mandalorian takes place five years after Return Of The Jedi, when Yoda died, the Empire fell, and Vader and the Emperor died. But Luke *didn’t* kill his father. He died saving Luke. This is 25 years before The Force Awakens. And remember, Luke has a five year-old nephew named Ben. 🤭
The "sequel" trilogy has been shunted to an alternate timeline, so "The Farce Awakens" doesn't happen. In this timeline, Ezra Bridger saved Ahsoka Tano from Darth Vader in "The Rebels" episode "A World Between Worlds". That's why Ahsoka was alive to tell the Mando and Grogu to go to Tython. That means Luke trains Grogu and keeps him out of Moff GIdeon's hands. In the "sequel" trilogy timeline, Ahsoka dies in her battle with Vader in the Sith temple back during "Twilight of the Apprentice". We see Vader leaving the temple looking like killing his former padawan took a toll. She was not alive to meet the Mando and Grogu. Luke was never heard Grogu's call and never came to get him or save the Mando's group. That means that Mando and crew were not able to rescue Grogu from Moff Gideon and were killed by the Dark Troopers. Gideon and the Imperial remnants kept experimenting with Grogu's blood and were able to create somewhat viable clones for Palpatine to inhabit as was in the "sequels". We also heard Ahsoka's voice with all of the other dead Jedi speaking to Rey. So Dave Filoni has already saved Star Wars from the abomination that Kathleen "SJW" Kennedy, Jar Jar Abrams and Roundhead Johnson shat out...maybe. I hope. The threads are there and Filoni and Favreau just need to run with it.

@@Caseytify It's an excellent series. I recommend it. It was in The Rebels series that she and Vader duel. We never actually see her die. We see Vader leaving the temple where the duel was injured and slumped as if from emotional drain as well. We don't see her or hear from her again until Ezra sees her in The World Between Worlds in a window to that duel in the past. If you haven't seen Rebels, watch it after Clone Wars. Both are done by Dave Filoni and very enjoyable for Star Wars fans.

I don't know. What's I've seen so far is the first reactors being the hardcore Star Wars fans give off their true reaction then a day later the 'professional' reactors just repeat it as a 'formula'. It was like how the end of season one you have a mix of early reactors know that the dark saber appearing might be important but days later all the 'professional's are like 'OMG it's the Dark Saber!!'. See so many fake tears reactions when Luke appears now I almost became uninterested in reactions.

Mark (Luke) tweeted about Luke's appearance after it was released. He knew about Luke's appearance on Mandalorian Season 2 about a year ago. He, Dave, and Jon were in planning stages for Season 2 with story ideas for Season 2. They used a body double (British actor named Max Lloyd-Jones) with CGI created younger face of Mark (Luke) superimposed on Max's. Mark dubbed the lines.
To paraphrase Obi Wan Kenobi: "I just felt a disturbance in the Force...as if Star Wars fans across the generations suddenly cried out...in joy." Luke's return was that of a legend, a true hero. He may not be the hero we deserved, but he is the hero we needed. Edit: The Mandalorian takes place 5 years after Return of the Jedi, which is Episode 6. Prior to Episode 6, in Episodes 4 and 5, Obi Wan Kenobi had been killed by Darth Vader. After the Death Star gets blown up, and Vader is flung into space, Luke Skywalker got a message from Obi Wan's Force ghost to go to the swamp planet Dagobah, where he was trained in his power by Yoda. It was during this time that Yoda also died, and became a Force ghost. After Luke completed his training under Yoda, he then goes to obtain a Khyber crystal, which he needs to create a lightsaber. That original saber was lost during the fight with Vader, who then tells Luke he is Luke's father. Luke loses his saber by Vader cutting off his saber hand. After this, Rebel intelligence discovers the construction of a second Death Star that is incomplete. They decide to stop it. At the same time, Emporer Sidious discovers that the Rebels are hiding in the Yavin system, on a planet called Yavin IV. This is where the Ewoks live. After a botched attempt to break in and shut the shielding down that is preventing another bombing run of the Death Star, Luke goes with Vader, who takes him to see the Emporer. During this meeting, Moff Gideon sees Luke and Vader walk into the Emporer's throne room on the Death Star, but only sees Luke walk out. Luke was the only one to walk out because Vader, in killing and throwing Sidious down an exhaust shaft, had taken too much damage from Sidious' Force Lightning attack, which killed his rebreather on his power armor. Luke ends up removing his father's helmet, seeing Anakin Skywalker's face for the first time -- which was the reason that Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni had Din remove his helmet in this episode. Very cool callback. But regardless, Moff Gideon was one of the few Imperial officers to escape from the Death Star before it blew up in Episode 6, which is why he's still around, as is Luke, Ahsoka, R2, Leia, and Boba Fett. I believe it was actually Leia that Grogu reached out to, not Luke, as she is much more Force sensitive, in terms of things like long-range communications and Force visions (basically using the Force to see the future). If this is true, then Leia contacted Luke, who then went to Gideon's Star Destroyer and retrieved Grogu. As a side note, its interesting to learn that Anakin and Grogu were born in the same year, which means that had Anakin survived from Episode 6, he and Grogu would be the same age.
Somewhere in the EU it was related that the Dark Troopers were force-sensitive somehow. That's why they abandoned their position outside of the bridge when Luke showed up. Best. Leo.
If they dont follow that rule (very possible) I like to think Luke did an Obi Wan style leap out of the xwing and utterly and immediately trashed at least most of them in the hangar, leaving the remaining to radio in the danger since we didnt see him wiping 50 on the way up.

Guys, this takes place 5 years after Return of the Jedi. 9 years after the first Death Star was destroyed. Yoda is dead and only Luke remains of official Jedi. Ahsoka, who you met in episode 5 of season 2, has the story you need next, watch the Clone Wars TV show. There is no Empire left, it's remnants causing havok. Luke is currently attempting to learn more and find artifacts of the Jedi Order in an attempt to rebuild it. Episode 7 occurs 25 years after this.

The Mandalorian takes place after the Return of the Jedi. At this point, the Empire has broken up into smaller groups run by warlords like Gideon. Grand Admiral Thrawn who was mentioned in an earlier episode reunites all the factions together later on. He may be the one that formed the First Order but I am not sure.
The whole show takes place 5 years after the return of the Jedi. Which is y luke was so strong and so co trolled with the force beating those robots. Everything in this show is before episode 7. Episode 7 takes place I believe 30 years after return of the Jedi

There is a good chance that R2D2 actually knows Grogu. Grogu was born the same year as Anakin and was at the Jedi Temple for some years before The Phantom Menace, so there is no reason why the two of them could not have met.
Now you have to watch The Clone Wars (starting with the movie) and Rebels series, so you can find out more about Ahsoka, Bo-Katan, and more! Mark Hamill actually played Luke again in this episode for the speaking part, and a double did the fighting. The upcoming Star Wars TV series will link up to the sequel films.
The add-on at the end, "The Book of Boba Fett, "is just one of approx. a dozen of spin-offs over the next few years, incld: 'Obi-Wan," "Rogue Squadron, " "Rangers of the New Republic." "Visions,' "Lando," and "Ahsoka Tano." Disney paid several billion for ownership of this "cash cow," and they aren't close to stop milking it.

it's whatever episode Elli wants it to be. and you've got to see the scene after the credits! for all the star wars geeks!. What is adored about this series by some of the star wars nerds, is, Favreau was able to tie in all the "good" parts of the star wars universe from the comic and the the revenge of the clones animated series that were also fan loved. For instance the "force crush" Luke used was first used by Mace Windu against Darth Grevious in the comic , Because Grevious had some biological parts in him; had Mace Windu killed him with "force crush" it would have exposed him to the dark side. Thats why Grevious coughs. But in this episode Luke CAN use the force crush because the enemy is an android and has no living parts so there is no "soul" or "force" containing body parts to destroy.
You guys missed the end-credits scene! Go back and watch. But BEFORE the next season starts, here's my advice, re-watch the Star Wars Saga in the following order: Episode I Episode II The Clone Wars animated movie at the very least, to understand where Ahsoka Tano comes from. Episode III The last four episodes of The Clone Wars series to see how it ended and tied into Episode III. Solo (because some of these characters are going to be in Season 3 of The Mandalorian, and/or have their own series, like Lando) Rebels animated series - watch the episodes that feature Ahsoka (there are only like 5 or 6 of them, but they tie back into the Clone Wars, and set up the Rebellion that leads to...). Rogue One (because Cassian Andor is going to have a series set BEFORE this movie, explaining his origins) Episode IV The Boba Fett cartoon from the Star Wars Holiday Special (skip the rest of the special - trust me) Episode V Episode VI Now you're caught up to The Mandalorian, which is set five years after the destruction of the 2nd Death Star. Only Luke, Ahsoka, and a few scattered Jedi remain. The Empire is dead, but the remnants of the Imperial Fleet are still around causing trouble, using Grogue's blood (probably) to create Snoke and the clone of Palpatine. Ben Solo/ Kylo Ren is just a child if he's even been born yet. And then you can watch the sequel trilogy if you like, but that's up to you (will Grogue be killed by Kylo Ren?). In case you haven't heard by the way, these are the new Star Wars series in development RIGHT NOW at Disney Plus: Kenobi - a limited series with Ewan MacGregor, Liam Neeson, and Hayden Christensen that takes place between Episode 3 and 4 Ahsoka - with Rosario Dawson, continuing her story from Rebels Rangers of the Republic - with Gina Carano playing Cara Dune again Lando - with Donald Glover reprising his role from Solo Andor - with Diego Luna returning as Cassian Andor in a prequel to Rogue One The Book of Boba Fett - with Temura Morrison as Fett You might also consider watching (or re-watching) Willow at some point, because Lucasfilm/ Disney is producing a sequel series to that as well, with Warwick Davis returning in the main role, and they all start airing in 2022. When you think you can't adore someone any more and then she ... 9:25 and 18:05 :chuckles:. Venting deep emotion in a foreign language and really punching it :). All we ever wanted was for Luke to be what he had *earned* and what we got was The-Best-Evarr Ray who earned nothing and was as Jedi as a chest of drawers i.e. not at all. And this little clip gave us what was *right*.
I enjoyed watching Ellie’s expressions and excitement for the show. As for Larry, it looks like he wants to let the excitement out but he keeps it in. Two different perspectives of joy. I love how Ellie rags(makes fun of them) on the stormtroopers through out the show, it’s very funny. You got a new fan, especially of Ellie’s.😊
The Return of the Jedi, or Episode 6, Yoda died at the midway through the Return of the Jedi, then Luke returned to help Han and Leia on the forest moon of Endor. Then Luke is 'captured' to face the Emperor and Vader, when Vadar dies and Luke escapes before the Death Star 2 is destroyed, later last seen burning Vader in a funeral pyre. Then 5 years later seen here to rescue Grogoo and start a Jedi temple.

They left lots of clues that this was after Return of the Jedi. The most recent one was when someone said "Which Death Star?", as a dig about the Rebellion blowing up BOTH of them.
That was such an awesome episode! :) And yes, this takes place between episode 6 and 7. Around 5 years after Return of the Jedi and yes, Yoda died in Return of the Jedi so in the Mandalorian he's already one with the Force. Also, there is an end credits scene which you'd like to see! :D
No, the fact that Luke was wearing a globe on his right hand was a clue this was after Return of the Jedi. After losing his hand in Empire Strikes Back, Luke gets a fancy realistic prosthetic hand that gets damaged in Return of the Jedi, when he puts on a glove to cover the damage.
The X-Wing, the green saber, the GLOVED HAND!!!!! Massive hints it's Luke before you even see his face BUT WHERE IS THE POST CREDITS SCENE REACTION?!?! You guys just now realized the whole show takes place between 6 & 7? AND you think Din can't have his own show without Grogu? Man...laying some serious burns on the show there lol (Jedi don't just feel another die wherever they are in the galaxy, they have to be "in range", and it's not something EVERY Jedi feels.)

Luke saying "talent without training is nothing" is almost certain to be a shot at the newest trilogy, knowing that rey is a complete Mary Sue that got her powers in 1-2-3, no problems. I hope they go through with it. PS: "The girl", Ahsoka, is not a Jedi so she definitely shouldn't have come, she can't teach Grogu anything.
So the animation series takes place between episode 2 and 3 which is called clone wars where u learn about Ahsoka and Mandalorians and much more. After that there is a show called rebels which is animation also and takes place before episode 4. Learn more about Jedi’s after episode 3 and a lot of other characters which there will be shows on coming up on Disney plus this year and next year. The write of the clone wars cartoon is the same writer of Mandalorian and is basically the savior of Star Wars and their story. Have fun!! I HAVE SPOKEN!
