I think the Armorer's response to Bo about the mythosaur was basically to tell her that whatever it means for Bo to have seen it is something that Bo needs to figure out for herself.
I think she made that piece to eventually become a pauldron when he grows up. The Armorer wouldn’t know he won’t be growing much more... but it was a lovely trophy for kicking Vizsla’s sons mandalorian booty. 👞💥🍑💨 And second, Jar Jar BINKS saving Grogu was the highlight of my week. So so SO glad that Ahmed Best got to be the heroic Jedi that fought to protect and save Grogu.. now they are off to Naboo!! Great episode! Great job Carl Weathers! You really did the damn thing!!!!
@@Persephone_Personified I'm fascinated to wonder who's waiting for them on Naboo...if that's where they end up traveling to ultimately. I see Quinlan Vos meeting up with Kelleran and Grogu, in the future; hence, his name-drop in the Obi-Wan Kenobi miniseries.
My kid watched Jedi Temple Challenge, when the other Jedi said "get the youngling to Kelleran" I was like "what now!?" And The Sabered Hand didn't disappoint!
I loved how Grogu's time with the Armorer gave more context to Din's flashbacks in season 1; it's part of their journey to becoming a mandalorian and the forge's role within that journey. Having watched an interview with Emily Swallow where she described the Armorer as Merlin to Din's Arthur, I have to wonder where that part of the story will go. Will Din's ability to wield the darksabre have improved now he's redeemed.
Once and future king of Mandalore? I seriously hope to see Mand'alor Din. I feel like he'd nail it. He really doesn't want to, but all his skillsets and what we've seen him be able to do says that he's perfect for it
This might just be me but I think he will still struggle with the weight of the blade as long as the mandos are scattered and divided in belief. When there is balance in belief and his ppl are one the blade will become weightless and he will wield it as an extension of himself. It would be poetic for the mandalorians :)
For the shortest episode in the entire series (so far) they did a good job packing a lot of action in-between showing the Mando lifestyle as well as the super important Grogu flashback.
4:09 I do believe Grogu is also training here. He does not move the crabs but he communicates with them, since they all leave once Din comes and grabs Grogu.
6:33... "Show them"... I liked Grogu's restraint to simply force jump around Ragnar, when he could've launched the kid into the air with a wave of his hand... 😂
This was another phenomenal, A or A+ for the Mandalorian in my opinion. Biggest takeaway: AHMED BEST, OUR BEAUTIFUL BABY BOI was the one to save and and protect Grogu from the Jedi temple!!! That whole chase sequence was like Clone Wars style of perfection, and OMG BIG TEM VOICING THE 501ST ON SCREEN AGAIN! That Grogu backstory reveal was 10/10, Everything I’ve been wanting and more. Also, I love that Grogu has three parents now, The Armorer is totally his auntie lol. & humanizing Paz with his son was awesome and I love that Bo is still totally being set up to rule and unite Mandalore. Overall, a smashing episode by our Carl Weathers, can’t wait for next week!
It’s really cool that the character they picked to save Grogu is someone new but who’s already established before as a padawan instructor. And played by Ahmed Best too! Two strokes of genius. Also, I’m really digging the religious or spiritual undertones this season has been delving into. That conversation between the Armourer and Bo about what’s believed to be real and what’s REAL-REAL is a very interesting deconstruction of faith itself.
It was cool that Ahmed got to shine. Good for him! Having said that, there went all the theories. Good episode but damn, it was short. Am I the only one who thinks the Armorer is Bo's sister? The missing sister, the mom of Satine and Bo's nephew?
@@patriotamerican3426 There are two different camps on this topic. Korkie was said to be the nephew of Bo and Satine. That would mean there’s another sibling of Bo and Satine. The other camp believes Korkie is Obi-Wan and Satines secret love child. I don’t believe it’s ever stated there’s another sibling, but people are inferring that if they don’t believe Korkie was Satine’s son. I hope that makes sense. I’m sure someone else will comment if they know a more straight forward answer.
Kelleran Beq. Amazing action sequence, loved seeing him dual wielding lightsabers to defeat half a dozen clone troopers. Hope we will see him again, either on Mandalorian, Ashoka or other series. It was great to see another Jedi survive the initial purge.
I really like that they keep showing Grogu's natural affinity for creatures, with all the rock crab things just wanting to be near him (illustrated by them scattering when he left that spot). This really makes me think and hope that Grogu has the best chance of taming the mythosaur... and if its not solely him, he will have a large part in doing so.
It seems like Grogu has a connection with nature even though he tends to eat them. But I'm thinking he will eventually meet a Mythosaur and maybe connect with it and maybe in the future when he's older he'll ride it and own the dark saber.
The Armorer made no argument that the Mythosaur does not exist. I still wonder if there's a connection to the creature and the water's properties. Thrilled to see that Grogu is actually being more included in a lot of the stories and also more active. Take care, Omn1
It's simple....the Armorer knows about the Mythosaur and the Mythosaur gives of some sort of sweat that mixes with the water. The Mandalorians use this and the Armorer has to have visited the waters after the bombing. But just like the children are in Hiding the Mythosaur is too.
@@zazoreal5536 agreed. I think honestly that's why they have that tradition of regaining your mandalorian honor at the Living Waters because you bathe in the waters of the beast and recite your vow to the creed in the presence of probably the most significant creature in mandalorian society.
The opening scene showing all the mandalorians training and such is, like, what I’ve wanted to see ever since the very first time I played KOTOR back in 2003. And Ahmed! 😭 what an episode
Master Kelleran Beq #LikeABoss showing some blaster deflection mastery and playing a key role during the infamous historical crossroads which was Order 66. And Bo-Katan Kryze also playing a key role during this pivotal era of the Mandalorian civilization. Things are about to evolve for this people too long scattered and dissolute... #Unite
I really loved this episode. It's given me what I have wanted to see since S1. And I love your reaction. You seem to have been grasping what the writers and directors have been conveying.
I just realized that the kid had got snatched dy the Raptor his name Ragnar. It's an Easter egg for Katie Sekov's old show, the 2009 Battlestar Galactica reboot
Always fun to learn more about Mandalorian ways, Grogu's backstory (poor baby) and his surrogate parents! Also, nice touch to give Ahmed this moment! Too short, but very sweet!
Doubt thats all we'll see of him, we don't even know if he dies mayb they just get separated? I think he'd be dead by now though since this is post empire
As fun as it is to watch your reactions, your post-episode analysis is yet again the best part of this video. Awesome to see you dig into the narrative/thematic structure so insightfully so soon after finishing the episode. Impressive, most impressive. Cheers!
A great Episode, and seeing all the Mandos and Bo's continued journey was great. Not to mention Grogu getting in some training and some extra armor. Yet, an awesome thing for me was seeing Ahmed Best, and to see that he was the one that rescued Grogu was great. Oh, and of course the Order 66 scene was just awesome. Cool to see that it's the same 501st armor they used in the Kenobi show, though the blue looks different again which is probably due to lighting
Bo knows the legends . The rise of the Mythosaur is the symbol of the rise of the new Mandalore. I think Bo will become Din's armored right hand as he becomes the true Mandalore . This Is The Way.
I’m so happy that Ahmed is getting his due, I thought he had such a cool character kinda being like a boneless mace windu but I’m so excited that the franchise that gave him so much shit redeemed him in the best way possible, making him the guy who saved the poster child of the post ROTJ era.
I think the Armorer made that piece to eventually become a pauldron when he grows up. The Armorer wouldn’t know he won’t be growing much more... but it was a lovely trophy for kicking Vizsla’s sons mandalorian booty. 👞💥🍑💨 And second, Jar Jar BINKS saving Grogu was the highlight of my week. I knew right away from the trailers that it was just gonna be clones breaking down that door everyone who thought it was going to Anakin are eating their words now and I didn't know the actor who played that jedi played Jar Jar!
Woke up to notification beep from youtube. Finally your reaction video is ready. I always see your reaction before I see the actual episode. Because you are real and don't give any fake reactions. You are the best ❤️
The numbers of people who band together (and sacrifice) to save the Younglings & the numbers of people who band together (and sacrifice) to save the Foundlings
In many forms of meditation, you stare into a flame of light to help block sight helping to increase other senses. This facilitates a deep dive into your mind, or as some believe, allow your mind to travel to other places or planes. Since the forging of metal involves a repetitive visual and auditory process this could facilitate a meditative state.
After watching the episode, I have a lot of questions. Was the Queen of Naboo keeping secrets from Padme? Was the Nubian Council distrustful of her because of her relationship with Anakin? Was it just Anakin they didn't trust? Ahmed met the Queens Guard and took off in a Nubian ship. Padme didn't know about Order 66 until Obi-Wan told her...
- Naboo is the planet which attempted to create the delegation of 2000 to stop palpatine - Bail Organa was also trying to contact the Jedi during the order to help / find out whats going on, so its not unlikely some Jedi could contact systems which have a friendly relationship with the order or that the delegation of 2000 after Bail went to the temple organized a rescue mission for surrivors - Kelleran says its his 'friends' - beside Captain Panaka and the Queen it could be also Jar Jar helping Kelleran saving younglings - which would be hilarious and so funny.
Yes, I loved this episode and your ending thoughts on it. What I appreciate about this specific time we’re in is that more tv shows, movies, and some franchises are beginning to deconstruct what we think we know or accept. It could be easy to dismiss The Watch as a cult or all Jedi as good. There’s space to explore it as these characters, like Bo Katan, have their own thoughts challenged.
So even though there aren’t any “targets” you can still train accuracy when having a range officer fire a round and the trainees have to get as close to where the range officer hit as possible. I feel like they could’ve at least put some targets out there, but they weren’t “wasting” ammo.
Thank you!!! Not eating the kid for 24 hours!!! I enjoyed a lot of this episode, especially Grugu's back story and the Mandalorian's bonding, but the dragon regurgitating the boy the day after it caught him didn't sit right. It basically flew back to its nest, as that is how Bo knew where the nest was, didn't feed the boy to the chicks, then flew off to then return later!!!! Then there was the staying under an overhang to keep out of sight but lighting a fire. I know I am nowhere near a fan as a lot of people, it's just really weird to read the comments and no 'negativity' about was was off in an episode! Again, thanks for filling in the history I am not aware of.👍👍
Like the Methasure and others from the time of the ancient Mandarins to the Mandalorian wars, those 3 raptor chicks are to be trained as the new generation of Mandolorian war beasts.
Yeah the armourer is an enigma to me, every one kept saying she a cult leader of some sort, but her actions is strange..as if she know many thing, and yet kept it secret, and let other find it themselves along the way while keep repeating this is the way.
I think the Armorer knew there was a Mythosaur, I think she's been waiting for someone to find it. Bo may be playing a long game, but I think the Armorer has been playing the same board for longer.
Omni time! Def enjoyed this episode more than the last one. Cool Ahmed Best being the one who saves Grogu. Just wish they did a better job when showing him jump as it just looks like a stoic toy being thrown up in the air
I hope we get a merging of ideas for the future of the Mandalorians. The Armourer's people are definitely a weird cult that I don't want Bo to get indoctrinated into but they also have a respect for the history that she needs. I would love to see a scene of all the mandalorains removing their helmets together. Perhaps after Bo proves herself with the mythasaur and has learned to respect the past she can bring them back to their senses while still honoring the good that comes of the creed.
Master Kelleran Beq! let's fucking goooooooo! I am so happy for Ahmed best, what a way to bring the teacher of younglings, the sabered hand into star wars canon.😂😂😂
So jar jat binks saved Grogu from order 66 well his actor did, Grogu being a tiny badass shooting the three training dirts was awesome but it makes sense he was at the Jedi temple for who knows how long then trained by Luke Skywalker.
Before anyone comes at me, this is just for laughs, but I want to imagine, there's gotta be a scratched out rough draft or thrown away paper that says: well, we're getting Ahmed back, he's helping Grogu escape in a Naboo ship...can we redeem Jar Jar and have him fumble his way to rescuing the baby 😂. I know it was probably tough convincing him to come back at all because of the unjust and moronic hate that was thrown his way, and it was cool seeing him as a BAMF jedi.
I think they were also implying that Jar Jar Binks had that ship waiting for them. I can’t imagine Padmé being that careless as to directly order the evacuation of any Jedi from the temple. If I’m missing a key player or piece of information, please tell me.
Thanks, Omni! 🐣 Anonymous naysayers told me I was wasting my time watching JEDI TEMPLE CHALLENGE... well, Chapter 20 feels like a huge pay-off. And I'm beyond thrilled for the wonderful Ahmed Best. #Omn1Media #StarWars #TheMandalorian
God I love actually seeing into Din's covert more regular life. I always thought Armorer was more of a spiritual leader or a shaman, or a priest, since she works with armour, and armour is an important religious aspect of the Mandalorians. I wonder what they'll do with the Mand'alor debacle. I say Din is perfectly qualified to be a great leader from what we've seen him do, but it might end up being Bo Katan in the end. I wasn't keen on her at first, since she was so gate keepy towards Boba Fett and his father and towards Din's covert also, but she seems to be coming around. I just think Din being the Arthur with his Darksaber-Excalibur really works. Also I really wanna see him ride a Mythosaur #GiveDinDjarinaMythosaur2023
I get that A LOT actually! I learned about the actor originally from people constantly making the comparison and then he went and got cast as the Riddler! haha
I've seen people already trashing this episode,(Some seemingly writing off season 3 all together at this point.) and while I don't think the episode was bad, I did kind of come away from it feeling a bit indifferent about it all...I think to me the meat of the episode are the bits we get with Bo and seeing how she's adjusting and building the intrigue of her story in all this...The flashback with Grogu feels like it would have had more of an impact if we had not already seen the first half of that in the Book of Boba Fett. But maybe that's just me.
Bo Katan probably just left the Darksaber behind in a box in a throne room or something while fleeing Mandalore as it was being bombed. Dont think he beat her or anything like that.
Singled-out as prey by two different monsters in such a short time? If Mandalorians use old style naming conventions, Vizla's kid should be called Ragnar the Unlucky.
I'm really curious about what is the endgame of Bo Katan. I actually want her to become the leader of the Mandalorians, not because of her title, but earning her place as the leader of them all.
