I'm curious how you both would have rated Imperial Assault. When it was originally released and how its stood the test of time. The last I heard when Devon had it at ~52 on his top 100 in 2022, Meg had offered to play it with Devon. Since it was part of the Glory days of FFG I think it has been off the radar generally speaking but it still is placed highly (#70) on BGG's top 100. Perhaps I can find a video generically on the top 100 BGG in your inventory.
Great review! I pre-ordered this as an Early-Bird Pre-Order from Game Nerdz based on your earlier gameplay video. This reminded me a lot of the Stranger Things board game. I love the theme on both of these games, and they seem to have the potential to provide family and friends new to board games a great gateway experience. I also see both games having the potential to change their difficulties by using built-in modifiers or home rules. They both have seem to have solid systems that are fun and easy-to-teach. I had a couple questions: When do you guys plan to do a review of Divinity: Original Sin? I'm really interested in ordering the acrylic standees to have a deluxified version of the game. Do you know of anyone who is selling them, or who would be best to contact to purchase the acrylic standees? Thanks
Noo, do not try the traitor option. It is just Corey fucking Konieczka, designer of the biggest cult classic and No.3 on BGG in that category, the grandfather of it all, Battlestar Galactica.
@@BoardGameCo I know, neither does Tom Vasel. He didn't try the traitor variant either :D But it has a cult following (same here, still our most played game with hundreds of plays even though we have a very large collection), and that is something to be acknowledged, so another traitor mechanic game (variant) from the designer might be actually very good. It might have been intended to be more than just an afterthough, so I hope someone on the internet will take the effort to include it in their review.

Great review yall. I think imma hold off on this one. I don't think the theme is enough to carry me through the card/tactical play that my group likely, would not like. This almost gives off a Target shelf "babys first gloomhaven" vibe haha. It's a sub $20 clearance buy at best.
