The inner lighting turns off when the helmet is upright or determines it’s being worn, and then the head torch can turn on, when it is upside down or determines it’s not worn, the head torch can’t turn on (I assume to prevent accidentally turning it on and blinding someone)

@@VitoBanditoo I agree, they should've tinted it, so that the outside was only reflective, and not see through at all. But completely see-able from the inside.

You can also hold the button down while the helmet is on and it will turn on

Red lights came on when you turn the upside-down, the sidelight comes on when the helmet is right side up.. when the helmet is right side up you can toggle the switch so the red lights turn on while wearing it. just received mine today From Big Bad Toy Store it came a month early. I ordered it in November 2020.

Had to fiddle with the straps a lot. But it is a very good quality for the price. Edit: Also had to point out that the lights are automatic. They turn on and off depending if the helmet is right side up or upside down.

I was super confused by the light FX as well, looks like there's a small sensor inside that detects it being upside down (for the two red interior lights) or right side up (for the torchlight). There's a small rattling noise that I think is what's doing it. Alternatively for those with big heads, try removing the entire adjustable headset inside, they pop out from either side and allow for more room to slip in your noggin'!

The helmet has to be level like you were wearing it for the light to come on. I just got mine today and it took me a second to figure it out

Unfortunately I had to have my partner saw off the Boba Fett Helmet off my head because it got stuck for the same reasons you just mentioned, it's too small at the bottom. I guess it's the same thing with the one as well...which sucks because I really wanted this one as well. :(

I had an issue with mine where I couldn't toggle through the light patterns. I disassembled the battery portion and found that the button worked fine on its own and I could toggle through the patterns. So I reassembled it and found that when I tightened the screw just above where the battery goes it caused some sort of short that disabled the button. So I just loosened it a little bit and now the button works fine.

I had the opposite problem. 😂 I bought and shortly returned the Poe Dameron helmet. With my 7&1/4 head I looked like Darth from Spaceballs. 🤣 Thankfully this mando helmet is a better fit.

So the red interior lights come on as you put it on, then turn off. The flash light will only turn on when the helmet is right side up.

Do you have exterior light problems? As a previous person said, the exterior white light comes on only when the helmet is upright and you hit the on button. Hitting the same button with the helmet upside down, turns the interior red lights on.

I got one for Christmas it has a little relay switch when helmet is on the side light is on you take off the helmet the red interior lights go on the side light goes out THIS IS THE WAY

Did you remove the adjustable headband, it should pop out on either side of the interior with a little force. Fits a lot better!

Yeah, the button and the different lights work all wonky. My red interior lights almost act like they're motion activated. They come on randomly and the headlight only seems to come on when it wants to. Eats through a single AA battery fast!

It hides your face fairly well. My face shows through a bit because my head is large and it was literally smushed up against the plastic.

HOW TO TURN ON HEADLIGHT: When helmet is upside down - interior lights turn on When helmet it right side up - headlight turns on Sounds like there is an interior ball that connects different circuits depending on the rotation

I have noticed with my one. Where the torch fits on when turning my helmet upside down or moving it around I can hear a little sound as if something hasn’t been fitted right and it makes a small sound if you get me. Is this just part of how it’s been manufactured? I was trying to listen for the sound on this video. But not sure if I could hear it or not. Thanks

The stormtrooper helmets have a small microphone inside but it doesn’t change your voice much - more like it’s just coming out of a speaker.
