“Star Wars fatigue” was always an excuse for the fallout that The Last Jedi had on Solo. Solo was the first Star Wars movie I didn’t see on opening night in my life because I was worried about them doing to Han what they did to Luke.

I don't mind them taking a couple of years to make the mando movie. That is, as long as they take that time do do the story good enough to warrant 2 years. JMHO.

No way they didn't have behind the scenes focus groups to try to explain why Solo "bombed". They just decided to blame fatigue or too many films in a short amount of time, because that takes the blame off of The Last Jedi, period. The Last Jedi is why Solo bombed, and no one will convince me otherwise. I enjoyed Solo, but the chasm of divisiveness had already reached Grand Canyon status. They would release two movies per year if they had any confidence...and good writers.

Not sure what a “Rey movie” is, but whatever…. I’d like to see more Boba and Obi-Wan, but that doesn’t sound likely now. Andor would probably make sense also. Ashoka Absolutely needs to be continued. Kennedy just needs to step aside and have a new Star Wars chief that can sit down and have a Good person sit down with Lucas and come up with an overall strategy and work on it like Marvel started with before they screwed things up. Otherwise, we’ll keep getting lackluster material.

Releasing 2 motion pictures in 1 year when the last movie was 7 years ago is just bad planning

Just imagine how much more hyped people would be to see the Mando movie if they didn't rush Grogu going back with Mando so quickly. If they just had the one episode during Boba Fett with Luke training him and Mando deciding to leave and let him train and leave it there with the cliff hanger of will Grogu choose the light saber or the chain mail. Then have the Mandalorian season 3 completely without Grogu and then maybe a small tease at the end with what he chose. People would be so much more excited to finally see them back together for the first time in several years in the movie.

I saw this thing on Twitter about this and I think it's a good point. I think releasing The Mandalorian and Grogu in May as it's the same month as Avengers: The Kang Dynasty which could be a risk since when this happened when Avengers Infinity War released the end of April and Solo released on May 25th, I think which resulted Solo to not do a bit well at the box office. That could be because of The Last Jedi but it could be because of Infinity War or maybe a bit of both. Since this is the first Star Wars movie since 2019 it's possible that it could do well since with The Force Awakens that movie did well because it's the first Star Wars movie since 2005 and when this movie comes out it'll be 7 years since The Rise of Skywalker. Along with that we are also getting another Star Wars movie in December 2026 along with the new movie in May. My guess for the movie in December 2026 is maybe the Rey movie and Dawn of the Jedi in 2027 and the Dave Filoni movie might be either in 2027 or 2028.

Stopped watching Andor, stopped watching the Sabine show, stopped watching the Reva show, stopped watching Bad Batch S3, not gonna watch Acolyte… I’m just not interested in Disney’s version of Star Wars anymore. They’ve fully ruined it for me. I’ve only been able to watch George’s SW over the last year, and even that feels tainted by Disney’s disrespect to a certain degree. I don’t want to find out how they plan on shitting on Star Wars and the monomyth next. I really never thought I’d feel this way about something I’ve **always** loved so much, but it just upsets me. It’s been like a rough break-up, but I’m fully over it.

I didn’t know you are also a Tron fan to. If you do a Tron theory channel, I’m definitely subscribing to that. Tron Legacy is one of my favourite films and in my opinion and underrated masterpiece.

Friendly reminder that a single writer doesn't mean much when making a movie or tv show. There is an entire "writer's room" that could be up to a dozen writers working together, the producers, director and studio all having influence on the story. A single writer from Andor working on another Star Wars project really doesn't mean anything.

The 10 commandments? I dunno, maybe they could do that by traveling to Mortis, speaking to the Gods and getting the rules, laws and explanation from them. The Female companion stays behind to stay with them, ends up turning into Abeloth. Then you could use Abeloth later on in the timeline. because she is immortal.

I’m glad there’s gonna be a break in content. I didn’t watch every single show they’ve done. I enjoyed clone wars season 7 and all of clone wars the most. It’s the best Star Wars show, also kenobi, first 2 seasons of mando, tales of the Jedi, bad batch and ahsoka. Everything else i could care less about. I feel like too much ,was coming out at once, and this is definitely needed. I like going back and re watching shows and enjoying it again. Sometimes I enjoy it more the second time. With everything coming out so quick, it’s been hard to do, and there’s a ton to re watch and get ready for what’s next. Definitely not the Rey movie tho I’ll pass on that.

Ya know what I’d love to see Andor season 2. Andor was a refreshing Star Wars series based on a character who wasn’t a Jedi or a soldier or a bounty hunter. I actually loved it! I know that’s kind of sort of a hot take but I don’t care!

I love how your attitude has shifted quite a bit towards the things you don't like about Disney Star Wars. I do agree with most of them but I don't like the saltiness of the fans every time they mention these films/shows. The fact that you mention the Rey movie without making a face shows me that you are past the stages of grief and have reached acceptance and you're focusing on the bright spots along the way while still being critical of course.

Yeah, this is where my question is 'which parts of Andor did he write/how much of what he wrote is his'. Cause when it deals with side characters and plots - yeah, Andor is usually good, it's when were actually focused on Cassian or his Imperial stalker the quality takes a massive nose dive. With the exception of the prison being a 50/50 split - it's the one part with Cassian at the center that's actually good, though partially cause of characters around him and all, but still has some really dumb moments too that take away. If he did some of the stuff I liked in Andor - great, if not - that's gonna really lower my expectations and desire to see it.

Personally for me I think it is better to have a 3 year gap between movies and I grew up waiting every 3 years for movies and didn't lose interest. The problem with releasing too much content within a short time is the risk of bad quality content coming out one after the other, due to it being rushed. You need to allow the content to cook for a while.

Do you think mando/grogu will cameo in skeleton crew? Or even Ashoka 2? It’s a good idea to film a season 4 alongside the movie, and have the season drop early 2026 followed by movie later in the year but I doubt it.

Tron has so much potential for Disney they could take it any direction they want. There could be series set before or after the purge and rise of clu. So much time inside that universe they could start so many stories

Classic edition (imo) was too expensive for what it was, essentially didn't bring anything new, and failed on their main premise, multiplayer.

Fatigue isn’t about too much quantity, it’s about lack of quality. When something is good, fan bases eat it up. When it’s terrible they get a bad taste in their mouth and will skip on the next one

As for Rey movie. I'm currently writing another pitch on my channel. In it, Rey is no Jedi. She's a Skywalker. A new title /order she created to honour Luke. So her students, become Skywalkers. Her name is Rey Palpatine end of story.😂

The sequels are not my favorite. I thought there were many things they could have done better. Something Star wars theory said in this vid bugged me tho. He said that many of the characters were portrayed as perfect and I would have to disagree. Plenty of times all the characters were shown to have flaws. Especially in episodes 7 and 8.

Let's hope the Mandalorian season 4 will release next year along with the second seasons of Obi-Wan Kenobi, Ahsoka, and the book of Boba Fett. Maybe Patty Jenkins' star wars movie will release December 2026. Because Jon Favreau's star wars movie will release on May 2026 and the rise of Skywalker sequel movie will release on December 2025 and I really wish I was in that movie. I could be to son of Luke Skywalker. I also hope John Boyega's star wars character returns as a Jedi, Mark Hamill's character's force ghost, and pray both the Mandalorian season 4 and Jon Favreau's star wars movie will have lightsaber duels. I for one won´t go see the Rey movie in the cinema. Did the same for Solo back then. After the disrespect of episode 8 Disney needed a slap in the face and they sure felt that one were it counts. The jolly roger gets hoisted for this movie.

I am now extremely excited for Dawn of the Jedi, maybe even more so than Mando film. Everything sounds positive except for the Rey movie. Lets hope under Dave they can steady the ship story wise.
