How the show reaches deep and pulls out the obscure references from all corners of Star Wars is part of what makes the show so wonderful. From references to Life Day to the Stormtrooper transport that was a freakin' toy from decades ago to Boba's knee rockets, it is not afraid work in such little pieces of fan service you never thought they'd even touch.
Can confirm. They even mentioned it in the expanded universe as well as the original and official Star Wars Encyclopedia which outlines the intricacy of his armor. My inner child feels complete!
Boba Fett legitimately did more in this episode then he did in the entire Original trilogy. Badass..And I'm not calling her Fennec, that's freaking Melinda May! The Cavalry never dies!
Or...fuckin' 90's live-action Chun Li. Say what you will about the movie, but the memories of it will live on in the minds of every 90's kid that seen it.
@@Cmmdre977 it's a big transport ship compared to let's say a DC-47 that carried 28 paratroopers in WWII, the stormtrooper literally come out running from the planes hatch. That thing must be as tall as a house, but slightly narrowed. 😁
I didn’t know Boba was in this episode but Man! It was a good redemption to have him do some badass action! More importantly...HE IS AN OFFICIAL MANDALORIAN!!!
@@RGMerkel .. watch a video to fully understand but Jango ended as one of the best bounty hunters alive leaving the mandalorian creed boba fett started at a bounty hunter learned the mandalorian fighting styles and all that but he never was a fully mandalorian logically
@@notBrocker I think they are actually incorporating Jango's old EU story into this. Jango was taken into the Mandalorians by Jaster Mareel when his family was slaughtered in the cross fire between Mareel's True Mandalorians and the Death Watch. I guess they are going to call that whole thing the "Mandalorian Civil Wars" now. Jango was trained as a Mandalorian and earned his armor but left the Mandalorian creed behind when his entire unit was wiped out by the Jedi. He then became a bounty hunter, still technically a Mandalorian though. So even though Boba is a clone he's still technically Jango's son and Mandalorian Armor is passed down from parent to child in their culture. So even though Boba never swore to the creed the armor is still his by birthright. It's kind of a gray area but either way that armor is his and the Mando won't dispute that. Addendum: Also fun little side note from more EU Legends sources, Jango's home world of Concord Dawn was a Mandalorian Colony and there was in the days of the Ancient Republic a Clan Fett among the Mandalorian Houses. So in the old canon at least Jango could have probably traced his lineage back to some actual Mandalorians somewhere in his family tree.
You guys crack me up, love how you called her the "Cavalry" lol #agentsofshield Also realized that they had Mando without his pack this whole time otherwise he would have rocketed after the Dark Troopers... #BOBABEEF
My first reaction upon seeing Grogu throwing stormtroopers around: "Yeah son, get some!" Two seconds later, I had my face in my hands, realizing he's scared and angry and that's why he's tapping into so much power: "Oh, no... this is not good." Almost every use of the Force Grogu demonstrates is either out of anger, fear or wanting something for himself. The path to the dark side, this is, and a tragedy in itself.
When you say “almost every use of the force Grogu demonstrates is either out of anger, fear...” do you mean just in this episode? Or in general? Most of the time when we’ve seen him use the force it hasn’t been out of anger, unless you’re talking about this episode specifically. The only other time I can remember is when he force choked Cara Dune, but he was doing that to protect Mando.
@@NoOne0527 I will clarify that and make it less absolute a statement. In the first season Grogu definitely used the Force more as a help for others. I think this season has seen him using the Force more and more for personal gain or satisfaction- he takes the cookies, he keeps stealing the knob because he wants it- but yes, not every documented use has been selfish, you are correct. That being said, Ahsoka observed he has a lot of anger and fear in him and he definitely gave into it with the stormtroopers. He’s been immersed in a violent lifestyle while with Din. Some of the violence has been justified and some, like slaughtering Jawas out of anger, has definitely not. It’s a very dangerous environment for Grogu to be in and it may not bode well for his future if he’s on this path.
I'm one of the ones who discovered you guys after last week's episode and what I like about you guys is that you know your Star Wars! Watched other reactions and so many people were unfazed when Slave 1 appeared...REALLY?!?!?! Anyway, this show somehow gets better with every episode! Thought for sure this was gonna be one of those 'filler shows' setting up the remaining two episodes, but WOW was I wrong!!!
@@LaughingOwlKiller yeah 20 is definitely a stretch, ROTS is arguably a top 2 Star Wars movie and the other 2 prequels + the animated series weren’t that bad.
Orm sounds like an og fan.. The prequels were originally hated by alot of that fan base.. B/c sw fan bases can be very touchy. So I think the Sequels will be loved in 15 years or so 😂
@@midnite8729 I will say that I hated the sequel trilogy so much that it made the prequels a bit better but they were still not my cup of tea. Also I haven't seen any cartoons....sorry
I clicked liked when you were talking about Homeward Bound and now I will be saving this video as a favorite so I can watch when I have a bad day. You two are so deliciously joyous!!
Dang it you guys made me watch Homeward Bound and of course tears. As an ignorant Star Watcher I love watching real fans react but you two are next level and I thank you for your reactions. They are seriously precious and make me happy.
Honestly, once Boba Fett said, "their back." I immediately knew the episode should have been named, "Chapter 14: The Empire Strikes Back... Again!", but that would have been too revealing so I guess 'The Tragedy' was good enough. =P
I thought it would be a while before they topped the previous episode, and Robert Rodriguez and Jon Favreau decide to do it right away.... in about 30 minutes. Delivered. So many things in this episode. However, Grogu captured by the Dark Troopers for Moff Gideon, and the Razor Crest being obliterated by the Imperial Cruiser. I get the feeling that millions of fans screamed out loud in horror, and then stunned silence. A huge disturbance in The Force indeed!
As long as we can all agree that the real "Tragedy" isnt that Grogu was captured, as he'll obviously be rescued, but that the Razor Crest got Exodia'ed...
Wait. You’re saying Gideon has Dark Troopers, and is trying to clone force sensitives, but he also has all five Exodia cards. Din and the gang need to recruit Kiba and get a few God Cards.
When you guys were talking Avengers BEFORE you watched the episode, I was thinking, just wait til they get to the end of this one. Avengers Assemble! Also, gonna have a little Magnificent Seven vibes.
Magnificent 7! Good call. Also, the way the Mando’s y’all with through the speaker on their helmets, I can totally picture someone, at some point saying ‘one your left.’ 😁
mandos theme: lone gunslinger making his way from town to town bobas theme: battle hardened warrior who faced death countless times and shot death itself in the face
Oh, Grogu was busy messing with his skill tree. Makes sense. He obvi put his point into his TK skills, cause he was straight tossing those stormtroopers around at the end.
@@pReviewd We should be all one happy group but the more radical parts of the fandom can't seem to accept that many people like the sequels. So tired of them dividing the fanbase with their hateful gatekeeping rhetoric. Star Wars is for everyone to enjoy, not just those who know the most Star Wars trivia.
Star Wars fans again? I never stopped being one nomatter how the sequels ended up being. If you stopped being a fan because of something you didn't agree with then you weren't a fan to begin with.
When you made the ringwraith comment I shouted 'YES' - thought the exact same thing. I'm glad others are finding you, for too long I've been confused why you didn't have more subscribers. Also lowkey crushing on Adam right now.
Also Boba has always had the leg rockets, in the old Visual Dictionary or something there was a page that detailed a bunch of things on Bobas armor and the leg mounted rockets were ones that were never shown in canon but they were there
"Remember when we were worried". Hahaha Really don't know why. Don't jinx it. Best show on the box and BEST theme tune goes to....... . At the risk if sounding creepy, you guys are my fav. Deserve well more than 30+k. Keep doing what you guys do!
i swear for the longest, ive been so confused with your subscriber numbers. it should be soooo high, you both really are the top reactors for me congrats on the success!
u guys were featured in GammaRays latest mandolorian reaction comp for ep 5!! i mentioned u guys to them as a great channel to use in their comps. dont know if my comment specifically got them to check out ur channel but im very glad theyre including u guys!!! love u guys!!!
Tuned into you guys last week for the first time..let's say I wasn't disappointed. You guys are truly awesome. Love your reactions. Your facial expressions says it all. I couldn't wait to see this weeks reaction...I watch alot of reactions and albeit most are good you guys really put the emotions into every scene. You bring the feels to everything like a true star wars fan feels each time they watch anything to do with star wars...Heres to looking forward to next week can't. Keep up the good work guys. ...MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU 😁
Judging from the boulders, it's clear that Stormtroopers are taught at the Prometheus School of Running Away From Things during their training. And Robert Rodriguez directed this episode. Between Carl Weathers, Dave Filoni, and now Rodriguez, this series had an amazing stretch of directorial talent in just these past three episodes alone.
I think I’ve watched your reaction to this episode as many times as I’ve watched the episode. You’re so entertaining and you’re voicing what most of us are likely thinking about this show, about Star Wars in general, etc. Spot on! I also think you’re the best comic duo around and your timing is impeccable. Thank you for bringing some much needed humor into our lives each week. Well done!
I love watching these reactions now that i got into this series and back into star wars, i love seeing people react and be passionate about things they like
For a season and a half we have seen Din be a total badass. And we thought he was amazing and everything we had built Fett up to be in the EU and our minds. Then Boba drops in and shows us just how low on the rung of badassness Din really is. Boba is in another real entirely.
I've always wondered if people only loved Boba Fett because he had cool armor or if he was actually a cool character. Today that question was answered, Boba Fett is a COOL character. Btw, I love his armor this episode, it looks so cool with the black robe
I'm so happy that you guys are blowing up right now! My favorite reactors on RU-vid for a while. Oh, and that Cavalry reference automatically made you guys ten times cooler.
Lol, Bill Burr "Ginger Spice"! Now I'm imagining a singer/sharpshooter turned mercenary with a Boston accent. Harley Quinn? Close enuff, tho I know that the Boston accent and the NY/Jersey accent are different from one another. Also, she DID have a fling with Deadshot before. Hmmm...
Another fantastic reaction. Glad you are getting props for the work that you're doing. And yeah, I watch a LOT of reactions and yours are pretty my among the better ones. For the reveal we just had, that was the BEST reveal period.
The knee and wrist rockets were called out in the old school visual dictionary, I remember reading about them in 6th grade. 15 years later to see Boba use all these gadgets that the reference books said he had but never used in the OT was *awesome*
