Fighter isn't in a great spot right now, it's a decent class but there's better options in my opinion. Sparky is just a Chad and does what he wants.

Im currently level 128 on fighter with 100 levels being with the longsword. Its a tough beat out her sometimes, but if you dont stand up for your own drip then youre no man. stay strong johnny.

@@lonewolfaus4817 in the fight against the yeti, the swings seem as it passed through the sword but they were in fact just not in range because he didn't take damage from it. also, seeing that you can kill troll with just parries, you gotta just git gud

@@KungPaoChicksit’s a little of both. It’s 100% a skill issue at times but it has been confirmed to be bugged to some degree or at least not the greatest hit box. Skeleton guard man is the best example you can repost perfect but it goes straight through

@@den-ga2767 you can try my build as well for 124< Fine cuirass blue quality with flat HP(all other pieces must have flat ho too) Templar helmet blue, light plate hands blue,l. Idk how it is called on engl, cos Im rus, but white pants with -2 movement speed green qua, light boots +5ms green also, two rings green qua(base doesnt matter, +2+3 hp on them) amulet HP based + any stat(maybe PDR is ok) and white longsword(its really enough) With this build you have around 36-40% pdr, 160+- HP and fine movement speed. Dont forget range weapon and franchescas to catch up faster guys

After playing different varieties of straight MS or PDR - as well as a mix of both, I can personally say it’s all preference and what matches your play style. Full plate armor with max PDR is awesome for tanking some shots, but you’ll need to be able to since you can’t move quickly. Fast MS and low armor allows you to poke in and out of fights, but make sure to pop a potion of protection before you fight as to not get headshot into oblivion. I personally prefer a good blend of both. Get some good cloth pants, plate chest/head and pick the rest out for yourself based on rolls/attributes. It’s all trial and error my friend. A streamer can give you a “god loadout” and while it’s super helpful, it might not be exactly what you’re looking for. Give different things a try and see what works for you.

youll get it eventually man, the hardest part about parrying with the long sword in pvp is distancing, dont let em get too close

Like the other guy says, youll develope a sense for its place in 3d space the more you use it. Something thay may help is to appreciate how the sword point out from your body. This means that trying to block close will only work with the hilt/cross guard area which is close to your body. This is actually a good thing though because you can parry blows from a further distance than youd think with the length of the sword. Also dont even bother trying to riposte daggers, nigh impossible because their hitbox is almost always active once its already behind your sword

@@Woobieeee shield mastery gives +50% action speed on your next block(which, if you're parrying with LS, this applies the +50% to your riposte) after successful block whereas counter attack only gives +10%

I was wondering the same thing. I’m still new-ish but I was thinking maybe defense mastery? Cuz the 2 shield perks are necessary imo.

60% PDR 150 health fighter with longsword and you have no problem with anything except wizards

@@BrandenBlackford ye i played the game as a free to play player for a month and by watching some videos on gear and bulding tanky fighter with longsword and learning parries i could stomp 2v1 i even did 2 3v1 fights and got em its strong
