Yeah, it's kind of cool, but then so free against most characters too. Duck hunt is one of the few characters that has a certain counter to it (being able to sit on the can to self damage/disrupt the combo), even then it racks on the damage so quick!

@Ouigee I personally love watching Zoners, especially characters like PAC Man, Duck Hunt, Snake or Link which have all the high IQ plays. Someone in another comment said it had been patched out, but I don't see how from the 3.1 changes, they didn't make any Luigi changes that would affect it. I guess just changing the launch angle of one of the moves in it would break the combo. Maybe have the dair launch them mostly down spike but also slightly behind luigi?

No, it still works, it’s just a lot more fidgety. It’s true w/ a great read in DI but not really advisable to camp for. It only works at 0 percent and people will just rack up too much damage on you if you fish for the grab.

He does need that combo to make him more dangerous, the grab is hard to hit so the prospect that someone could die in one hit gives him pressure. Without that he lacks a solid threat for high level players. Taking it out of the game will just force people to switch mains to play the way Luigi could.

I mean Duck Hunt has a big advantage first Luigi. Projectile characters counter Luigi. So I mean Raito should have won because his character counters Elegant. But Elegant beat him even though he was countered. So if anything Elegant is better

T3rm1nat0r 21 Have to agree, Elegant downloaded this matchup after their first set. He used Luigi’s Zair to get in and used the tornado armor to avoid normal duck hunt stuff. He made the best of a terrible matchup and outplayed his opponent.

T3rm1nat0r 21 i agree, but zero-to-deaths like that existing is the reason that raito lost, that's all i stated. i think that skill like that should be rewarded. i personally think both players did a great job, those can set ups from raito were big brain.

He was so shook from the embarrassment Elegant put him through. That Game 1 was utterly demoralizing. The only thing that was missing was the Down- Taunt to make it an ultra salty match!
