I’ve always wanted to go to Beirut/Lebanon. It looks like such a beautiful city even with the way it has been abused over much of these last 40yrs. As an American I’m not likely welcome but perhaps in a better time. My grandfather in the 1950s used to love Beirut and that is where he’d vacation. Hed tell stories about the beauty. The people, the city the food the sea. Just sounds amazing. He always said it was more beautiful than Paris.
