I love his voice, so soulful and that guitar skill is stellar. Also anyone who knows Paul Overstreet's style, can hear him in the song too, I wasn't surprised to hear Marcus say on another video that Paul Overstreet and Dan Auerbach co-wrote with him.
I love this song. Beautiful stranger You come here quite often I don't know your name But I know what you drink You got a secret But it's one you can't keep Oh, beautiful stranger You're an angel to me So if you're feeling lonely Come sit next to me We'll find a slow song To dance to, and strangers No longer we'll be Beautiful stranger So lovely tonight Could it be my future That I see in your eyes Take me to heaven And do as you please Oh, beautiful stranger You're an angel to me Beautiful stranger You come here quite often I don't know your name But I know what you drink You got a secret But it's one you can't keep Oh, beautiful stranger You are like an angel to me Beautiful stranger You are like an angel to me
I met Marcus king , but I didn't know who he was. He said he was a musician and I reminded him of song he sings called "Beautiful stranger". He sang a few chords to me. We were friends for one night. I got kind of tipsy that night, but I never forgot. When I saw this video on RU-vid and I couldn't believe it.(Talk about man you didn't know) Now I'm in love with Marcus King. I hope we cross paths again one day. ♥️Ana
@@dakotahardin2874 Yea I am lucky and I will always treasure the experience... However I would love another chance. I was technically at work, so I didn't get to spend enough time with him♥️
You young fella are absulut liveing proof that the American dream has never gone away and you simply have to meet the good lord half way. I truly enjoy your music
He'll release a solo 12-track album "El Dorado" on January 17, 2020 - Fantasy Records (He co-wrote this song with Paul Overstreet.) Be the first time since "Let It Bleed" (Dec. 5, 1969) I'll be waiting outside the record store for it to open. Song List: Young Man's Dream, The Well, Wildflowers & Wine, One Day She's Here, Sweet Mariona, Beautiful Stranger, Break, Say You Will, Turn It Up, Too Much Whisky, Love Song, No Pain "Due January 17th, the album is a collection of 12 tracks, all written by King and Auerbach with songwriters like Pat McLaughlin, Paul Overstreet, and Ronnie Bowman. El Dorado also finds King backed up not by his eponymous Marcus King Band (as he was on his last effort, 2018’s Carolina Confessions), but by Auerbach’s roster of studio heavyweights, including keys payer Bobby Wood, drummer Gene Chrisman, and bassist Dave Roe." -- Rolling Stone
I love his music but he reminds me of Early Cuyler from the squidbillies. That one episode when Early has the same hat and glasses. Anyway. I love this song.
