General Koopa, showing his true colors as a menace, nicely foreshadows his transformation into the most unforgiving item in Mario Kart.

Everyone hates the blue shell, especially when you play Mario Kart.

As an avid Mario Kart fan, this scene put the biggest smile on my face in the theater.

The camera movements starting at 1:10/4:41 all the way to 1:37/4:41 is one of the most impressive angles I’ve ever seen. The shots go from wide to medium to close in seconds. I’m mostly impressed with the upside down tilting shot.

Here’s one of the things I’ve noticed when I first watched the movie. Mario makes a lot of anime like sounds. Like here 0:26, here 1:13, and here 2:26. He actually makes a lot more of these sounds throughout the movie. Most Mario games have text based dialogue (plus Mario is a silent protagonist) and they’ll make a lot of grunts and hums. Mario does a lot. I’m not sure this a reference or anything.

I feel bad for bowser for the loneliness he had been suffering from, but not sorry enough for every bad thing he has done to everyone.

People here are talking about how the Blue Shell gave them flashbacks, but can we take a moment to acknowledge how pretty it looks here? :’) I just thought there should be at least one positive comment about it-

As someone who love Mario kart, I adore the car designs, I honestly hope one day we get more figures of them.
