-"Two thousand feet in the air. That's a very dangerous height to tell a Jewish man he's been had" -"what about a catholic? Is it a good height for a catholic?" -"Was that the joke that got you fired?" 😂😂😂😂😂😭
He'll think it or comment to himself silently - we know that neither he nor Abe will ever admit out loud that she'd funny. Or will never say something similar to 'I was wrong'
5/23/2022 - YESSSSSS... Moishe must go to one of her shows... better yet the entire family should go... watching their reactions and hearing their comments would be hilarious!!!
@@agenttheater5After the Germans invaded and occupied Czechoslovakia they deported and killed 95% of the 300k Jews that lived there. Czechia was a huge melting pot of cultures and most families were mined- already in the 19th century +30% of all Jewish marriages were interfaith.
The writing on this show is miles ahead of most comedies in the way there's often multiple threads of conversation all intertwining yet somehow making complete sense. That's all on full display in this sequence.
“I need a pen. Who has a pen?” *turns to the sailors sitting behind him “Aren’t you supposed to be prepared for anything?” “That’s the Boy Scouts, Moishe”
This scene is the reason why The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel should win the Emmy for Best Comedy this year. It was phenomenal!! Emmys for Luke Kirby for episode 8 and Marin Hinkle for episode 7, too!
Ok, I know some people thought this season was fairly lackluster, but it had a couple of scenes that absolutely made the show for me: The Ferris wheel scene Midge apologizing to Shy and then refusing any attempt to buy her silence The scene where Rose gets threatened by the matchmaker mafia And of course, the entirety of the final episode with Midge and Lenny!
I think they paced it a bit slow but there was no part which I didn't enjoy. Some of the scenes were shot so beautifully that it is beyond words. Iconic to say the least.
This scene just starts going off the rails little by little and just embraces it. And I love it. Ethan's what?! Is what cracked me up but Abe getting hit by kids and realizing he was set up by a matchmaker with Rose is funny too.
First EMMY for Season 4- genius- each character, trying to be heard, explain where they are, existentially! in a cage, on a ice cream colored ferris wheel! I laughed and clapped and hit "rewind" a few times- !!! Loved first three seasons for a few brilliant bits of "cinematography" but this scene surpasses them! ( even with the ever-more LOATHSOME hats! I know, women were expected to wear at least even a kerchief on their head- Mei doesnt- thankfully!) If only ALL TV WAS THIS STANDARD...BRAVA TO THE CAST, ETC Namaste from A Devout Canadian Fan
I still think Ethan should go to public school in Queens. Not only will Midge having to live with that make a better storyline for Season 5 but the fact he'll be in Forest Hills High School at the same time as The Ramones makes a great jumping-off point for a sequel series.
Brilliant! Deserves an Emmy! I love my house so I understand Midge's attitude! Love this show. Miss Seinfeld still, was happy to see "George" Jason Alexander show up- he's terrific as Asher!
5/23/2022 - OMG... Hilarious... I can't stop laughing... this is the funniest scene in a tv series!!! 👏BRAVO to the writers, actors and the entire production company!!!👏
"How much did you borrow?" "Why do you want to know?" "I'm talking to Mitch." "You want some privacy?" That really cracked me up 🤣🤣🤣 Made my day watching this scene after a long stressful day
scenes like this, and when they first get to the house in the catskills are what made me love this show so much. i mean there is tons to love about it but these type of scenes of chaos yest refined are so amazing.
This funnel cake is delicious!! 📣📢🗣ETHAN, IS YOUR FUNNEL CAKE DELICIOUS??! JACOB, IS YOUR FUNNEL CAKE DELICIOUS?!?!PETEY, IS YOUR FUNNEL CAKE DELICIOUS??!!!🗣📣📢 🤣🤣🤣
Gotta give her credit, she may be loud and frustrating at times, but she clearly loves the kids and makes damn sure they are happy. That's a good grandma right there.
I am excited to see the new season! Both for its own sake, and to find out why Midge couldn’t wait until after her family came off the ride to tell them her news.
How exactly were they able to hear each other other?? And how did they film this? There's no way they could have filmed all of the actors in their gondolas on the same day.
I can handle her not waiting to tell them, but it cracks me up that at the end she's the one bitching that they can discuss it at home like... she's the one that jumped in! XD
She deserved the firing. Her joke’s cause harm and forced him into a fake marriage to save his life. Being black and gay in the 60’s was a death sentence.
Yep. I don't think she realizes the extent of it even after she apologized. Which is really something considering she was the one to clean his face of BLOOD after he's been hate crimed. It's unacceptable enough to out him, even without thinking, but to never fully grasp what she did wrong... I really dislike that in the end she made herself look like the "bigger person" and rejected Shy's offer to meet up because "he showed her they are not friends" no ma'am YOU showed HIM that.
Midge doesn't think things through. *cuts the line and starts explaining everything while they are all in different cages* "WE CAN DISCUSS IT LATER LIKE NORMAL CIVILIZED GOD DAMN PEOPLE -.-" SHE LITERALLY STARTED IT XD
Miriam is worse actually because she was the one who chased them onto the wheel and started the whole thing, come to think of it she really does have bad timing.
I gotta say this is the part of the show I never liked. Midge, Joel, their son, her parents, his parents, all shouting at eachother on a ferris wheel about personal financial matters during a fake birthday party for the whole world to hear. Who behaves this way?! 🙄😪
