Exactly, I was super excited when I saw x men, then I remembered I won't see a follow up to this probably for another 4 years.

I agree they should've opt to focus on a select few characters like mystics art characters or the "space" involved characters

This has to be my biggest issue with character introductions... it's tiring waiting this long for them to finally come to big screen.

Literally. If this happened 5 years ago, this is all people would be talking about. But we have had multiple Multiverse cameos and teases and either they have been really good with fans wanting a Sequel to those movies or they kill them off and waste them or... it's a Boner Joke. 😐 I've done this rhodeo to many times now to get excited. I'll have to see it be great to believe it can be great, unfortunately.

While I was watching the marvels, I couldn't help but thinking how they seriously seriously fucked up Secret Invasion

​@@Jack-gs4fiCouldn’t agree more. For some reason during this movie they made Fury a babysitter for the Khan family. I didn’t like this movie at all and the end credit scenes didn’t do much for me either. To introduce the X-Men in another alternative universe felt like just another attempt at getting some fans to see a poorly told MCU movie. Like the original poster said “I hope Kevin Feige does this right - IMO that means, stopping the current course. Slowing down and writing better scripts/stories/characters that all have the same end goal and intertwine in a meaningful and smart way. With only 1 MCU property due to release in 2024, and many reshoots on the way I’m quietly optimistic that he’s finally doing it.

I don’t like Grammer at all as Beast. He has the parlance down but that’s it. Beast is supposed to have not only an impressive vernacular but also a warmth about him that Grammer lacks. I don’t see how any fan of Beast thinks Grammer fits the role. He’d be a good dark beast 🥸

Cuz she’s not a big enough deal. The actress and the character so she’ll take what she can get. Had they cast her as Storm or something then she would be an actual cool character and she’d only have to ever play that.

Ooouu rogue starting out as a villain is genius just like when she was going back and forth between the brotherhood and the X-men in wolverine and the X-men animated series

in order for her to be as strong and powerful as she was, she needs to absorb Carol's powers. although after that carol came back even more powerful

i agree!! and i can imagine anna paquin being that, esp in the comics, rogue first appeared as a 40yearold woman. it’s only in the animated series that she’s presented a lot younger and more of a bombshell

I think they should go with a combination of practical effects with cg.

The basic design was fine, it was the fit that was terrible. It looked like it was thrown together at the last minute and they didn't have the time to tailor it to the actress.

I noticed binary had both the bangles on too.

No one knows who Binary is that’s why, she wasn’t even Binary for very long befor they switched her name to War bird, …..I just hope they don’t screw up any more of Chris Claremont’s creativity

Literally all they have to do is stick to the comics source as close as possible. That's the blueprint of success. All fans want is to see their comics-accurate heroes with their comics-accurate stories on the big screen.

It was really weird for me that Monica didn't think of that . She was supposed to be Professor Marvel and the smartest of the 3. Why would she go through an unknown area when she can pull the edges of the jump point from her end. Seems common sense to me

? That's arguable the 90's run with X-men gold and blue was more iconic. Either way if they go with the 90's or the astonishing interpretation it would be nice

@@emanthescripter1076 no the cartoon was what made the 90’s comic’s so popular. Look up the sales between each. Astonishing by Joss Whedon is literally top tier publishing and distribution numbers when it comes to comics sales.

That's my favorite of her uniforms. I could see her wearing it for ceremonial purposes, but it's not very practical in combat. I think her Krakoa-Era all-black uniform with the red X on the waist would be a great alternative.

Those FoX movies fizzled out for a reason. We waited so long for X-men to be done accurately, and they just go back to the Fox X-men? Not exciting

From thr looks of it, they re putting Xavier, Beast and Logan fron Fox but in comic based looks.

@@JS-uc3qf they are giving the original actors one last goodbye for the fans before embracing the rebooted team. It was the younger cast of X-men that really fizzled out. Everyone loved the original cast.

Well, let's be fair here, most of the examples you mentioned were setups for sequels to those particular movies or other movies that aren't scheduled to come out for a while. The way Adam was teased at the end of GOTG 2, having him show up outside of the next GOTG movie wouldn't have made sense. He was of course in the next sequel. Starfox also was a setup for a potential Eternals' sequel that hasn't happened yet. Clea was about the incursions which won't have a real payoff until "Avengers: Secret Wars". What else that has come out since Multiverse of Madness (movie or TV) would Clea showing up have made sense? Hercules was 100% a setup for another Thor movie. The Venom appearance in No Way Home was a direct tie-in to that movie and it sets up the symbiote for another Spider-Man movie. With Mordo, I agree for the most part. But, he was setup as a villain for a Dr. Strange sequel and Wanda was the villain in the next Dr. Strange movie and there hasn't been a third. With Scorpion in Home Coming, I see that as more of an Easter egg than a setup for anything. Given the plots of the next two Spidey movies, he would have seemed forced in the second one and would have made no sense in the third one.

I see where you're coming from. It's possible that the Avengers don't exist in that universe, so the X-Men are the only team that Maria could go to for help. Plus, in the comics, all of the superhero teams help each other out where they can (the beauty of a shared universe).

There are lots of non mutant X-men characters, always has been. It's never been one or their rules you have to be a mutant to be on them (Binary was on the X-men for a short time), same as mutants (including Beast) can be Avengers. For all we know this is a version of Beast who is an Avenger just like in the comics.

I always assumed X-men would replace avengers. I don’t need them to interact with everyone just be in the mcu and give us a canonical version that connects to the world.

tbh, if we take out the series, we can have a bit of space to breath. just like how early mcu days where we only get 2 movies per year max. but ofc, with the series, it will be hard to do that. maybe 1 movie and 1 series per year is enough.

but the main mcu already have a few mutants running around. so maybe, xmen as a team are exclusive from a specific universe? like how fantastic four are the only heroes present in their universe

When it comes to the X-Men in the comics, they rarely crossover with the other heroes unless it's a big comic event.
