I think Captain Marvel was moving into Monica’s house, because Khamala’s mom pulled out a piece of art that had Carol on it. So I think the Khan’s were just helping Carol move in.

I think the ending fits pretty well in the context of Kamala since Kamala and her fam were shocked when they found out they had intel on her. Of course Kamala would want to know if more heroes were on the radar. Plus she was the most excited about being part of a team and now she’s recruiting.
No, if it's bad I know it's bad and I'll stand on that. Thor Love and Thunder was bad, Multiverse of Madness was bad, Quantemania was bad etc... and The Marvels was not great but it was good enough to watch again.

No. SABER has intel about everything that happened in phase 4 and they have studied the anomalies of NWH and MOM thoroughly . This is why they speak about a "witch hex" so casually and understand how jump points operate . Remember Carol knew about the Quantum bands and stated they are responsible for the jump points. In her explanation she made it clear that opening too many jp points can disrupt the universe . So Cap Marvel and Cap Rambauxe have knowledge to deduce how to fix the breach .
Tiana, Iman & Goose were amazing in this film! Way better than the first Capt. Marvel film. More emotion for Cap was nice to see, but it did kinda feel like a sitched together film. Not as bad as others said it was. It was INCREDIBLE in 4DX! (But hey, what film isn't‽ lol)
Beast looked great, so accurate. Marvel takes these bigger than life characters and CGI's them, just like hulk. It works better and it actually fits with what Deadpool did better with the characters like colossus.
I just watched it. It seemed very rushed to me, insanely. But I loved the emotion and Kamala. Not the family as much as others, felt like the nick fury scenes were useless. The action was great though! And overall I feel like it had more world building then most mcu films lately.
If it does come out next year, that’s my most anticipated movie of next year. Only other Marvel things I was hyped for this year were Guardians 3, Across The Spider Verse, and Spider-Man 2 👌

To be honest, I didn't expect a lot for this movie but it was for sure a really fun watch....Iman Vellani killed it!....really hyped for the Young Avengers in the future
Don't hold your breath for the X MEN movie because they are all going to be female no male characters and if they have them in the movie you won't see them much it is all going to be about the vagina
Just got out after seeing it with my 5 yr old daughter. She was excited when the main superheroes were girls and one was a young girl. We laughed throughout the movie (the kittens stole the movie lol) Kamala did a great job and the end credits scene has me excited to what they are planning down the way

I had two vastly contrasting experiences all at the same time from just the abysmal cringe for the musical part. But also having the greatest laughs I’ve ever had watching the cats eat the passengers. But the one scene I hate is that ending!!! Monica made a pointless sacrifice for no reason, the wall was patching up and your telling me that she couldn’t have just go back to her dimension and finish the rest of the small patches?!!!!!? It felt she did it solely because Marvel just wanted to throw in the post mid credit scene.

just saw it, i think what happened with this movie is that they were so far along with it to scrap it that they just decided to make a rlly fun movie, imo one of the most fun marvel movies. i think they cut a lot of serious moments and replaced it for the silly parts. and i’m not complaining. not many of us have a rlly close attachment to any of these characters. they rlly did go safe with this movie. this was the last chapek (idk how to spell his name) movie in the mcu, they just went safe with it imo and i’m happy abt that. much better than quanumania

I really enjoyed this movie...and I don't care either way if people have or have not watched the other movies or shows.THATS ON THEM.This is an interconnected universe,we were bound to get to this point at some time.And 33 movies is that point. Plus Kamala's family was helping Carol move in NOT they were moving in.
I had a lot of fun with it, but it was too short. I wanted more time with the team. That scene where Carol admits to what she did that motivated the bad guy(girl), seemed like she was over acting...almost like a scene was missing right before it. But I loved the direction Ms. Marvel is going and the mid credit scene...I mean....finally!!!

Hey Chris , I heard about the coyote vs acme & I’m really bummed that we won’t be getting it. Just like you said that I couldn’t agree more WHOS MAKING THESE DECISIONS!? it hurts even more when not only did test screen audience like the movie , but apparently the ending was tear inducing & shot beautifully? Man.. all for a 30 million tax ride off. The anger, frustration, & disappointment I feel for warner bros is at a all time low. Aside from all this, ms Iman Vellani’s performance here stole the show for me but aside from all this, this movie feels very forgettable 😅
People aren't realising that they finally did something people have been complaining about. They are starting to show more of characters that were introduced. I feel like they are gonna start doing more of this.
11:25 my only reasoning with this is heroes are the biggest thing in that universe, they’ve prob made hundreds of movies based on those ppl in that universe, and fury recruiting other heroes would be a big moment in that movie ig . And Kamala , being a big fan of a lot of those characters has prob seen all the movies and could have gotten it from there is my guess
I LOVED the Young Avengers recruitment scene with Kamala and Kate, but I still wish Kang killed Scott so we can see Cassie assemble them for a more personal reason. Also, the X-Men mid credit scene was pure perfection!
Outside of feeing like the movie could’ve (should’ve) definitely been like a good 20-30 mins longer, and that the villain (despite having interesting motives) was very weak… I actually enjoyed the film very much! The three ladies were great. Iman was the standout of course - and it’s actually very nice to see a young superhero with parents/family (no shade to Peter lmao) that care for them so much. It makes it feel more real. Teyonah was fantastic, I enjoyed her arc and it could’ve been longer (with better dialogue). Brie was amazing as well, felt much more alive this time around, jokes landed much better, and emotions were stronger. I def get the part about a movie on between this though but I don’t really need it. The singing planet, I enjoyed from start to finish. I was actually very surprised that it didn’t annoy me after 5 minutes. And I actually would like to see the Prince return and would love to see more background on Carol’s time there. Maybe a Special Presentation if possible. Villain, again, was week but her motives were interesting and understanding. The fight sequences though??? Probably my favorite fights of Phase 4-5 combined outside of Shang Chi and maybe… no that’s it’s. No complaints on the fights, very entertaining from beginning to end. And the CGI I thought was actually much better than expected. I’d say after Shang Chi, Spider-Man 3 and Guardians 3, The Marvels is the 4th best post-End Game film and probably 6th or 7th overall post-End Game after Loki, WandaVision and maybe Ms Marvel. 7.5/10
The Marvels was really not that bad than what I expected from it!! Even though it does have its flaws and could really be improved. For example, I feel like the ideas could have been fleshed out more and I wish we had more of the power swapping but overall it was a fun watch!! I also was shocked with that mid credit scene.. 😳
I can’t wait to see Kate on the big screen because she was fun in Hawkeye & she’s a great character in the comics. As a huge X-Men fan I got so excited!! This film was fun to watch but I agree with the negative about the movie.
Maybe I missed an explanation but at the end of the movie when Kamala's family is moving into the new house we see Kamala walk out and she's only wearing one of the bangles. That made me say where's the other one... Cause earlier she said they had crossed the universe to find her and that she was born for this. ( Meaning they were made for her) So why is she back to only wearing one. All and all I did enjoy the movie. Some stuff made me stop and say why did that happen and editing was kinda weird at times but it was enjoyable for me.
Ngl this was a children's movie. Majority of the audiences in my theater are literally children. I think the humour was fine I had a lot of fun laughs, but yes it did feel a little bit faster in terms of pacing, but for the most part it didn't matter. Overall a good movie, good time.
Also I think the argument of “what about this mission that was barely discussed I would love to see a movie of this” no you wouldn’t if they announced that movie people would be like “what is the mcu doing” I’m fine with them just explaining it
I honestly enjoyed the singing planet and Flerken kitten scene, some of the more enjoyable aspects for the movie imo, but they do feel like something that should be more for Guardians of the Galaxy or Thor Love and Thunder where it's all about having goofy fun in space. Captain Marvel had this vibe of treating space straightforward, so to suddenly have a musical planet and a Cats broadway song number playing just feels out of place.

i honestly don't think captain marvel's backstory would have worked as a full film i liked how it was explained i mean she has gone to so many galaxies and worlds that i don't think we need films for.
My theory is that the universe that Monica landed in is the same universe of where the ending of X-Men Days of Future Pasts took place witch was the last time we saw all of the original casts of the Fox X-Men on scene together and idk if you noticed that underneath Beast’s robe you can see him wearing Spandex shorts with the comic accurate X-Men colors like Wolverine’s suit in Deadpool 3. I just want the rest of these movies to be actually fleshed out and be good. Marvel knows they could do better, they showed us how good they can actually be with how they finished off Loki so we just need them to take their time and stop rushing themselves.
Just watched it on Disney plus I didn’t really like it but one positive is that Mrs marvel is becoming a character I really like her show was mid in my opinion but she was really good in the movie I think marvel movies now just don’t have really good stories

I liked it. Since Endgame, MCU movies & shows mostly weren’t all there & were redone bc of the pandemic (dealing with a virus) but this movie was good. Sucks if you don’t have Disney + And I grew up on the Fox XMEN, I also watched 90s & older shows (as well as ones for my demographic) but I loved Frazier as Beast. Both actors fit the role but Grammer is the best. The CGI was cool but the live action look suits it better.
I absolutely loved the movie! It's probably my favorite phase 5 film so far, though Ant-Man 3 and Guardians of the Galaxy vol 3 were pretty good too. The only spoiler I saw was the kate bishop hawkeye cameo and I didn't even know what she was doing there. I was overjoyed that it was a tease for a young avengers. I also was not expecting the x-men cameo. I had heard there was going to be one, but I didn't know what it would have involved. To me, even though I never really grew up on the 90's X-Men cartoon, that this x-men universe is based on or inspired by the cartoon as the CGI look they gave beast is directly based on his animated look and much like Multiverse of Madness it's yet another universe with Fox characters, specifically the x-men. If the multiverse had showed us anything, it's that there can be so many universes with the x-men in them even played by the same actors as before. But overall, I had an absolute blast with this film. It was hilarious and I felt that the script gave a more realistic approach to the dialogue. I didn't feel it was bad at all. But just as well, I didn't feel like this movie was burdened with more set up, because I was just enjoying the film as a superhero nerd and not worrying about the set up. The set up was exciting of course, but it didn't hold it down. But that's just my opinion. I really hope Brie Larson comes back for The Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars.

Monica did exactly what Tony does… like that one time he just fixed time travel and we shrugged and accepted it and moved on. Movie was fun as fuck and definitely great. I’m usually with you on your reviews but this was a L take for me.
i don't think this film was meant to be taken seriously except for the end and the post credits scene so i really just view this movie through a fun lense becuase not every film needs to be heavily critiqued because it wasn't super deep, just a fun team up movie.
All these movies and shows that have come out these last few years were under the control of Bob Chapek. But now that Kevin Feige is back in control, he's reworking everything in order to make sense again that's why all these movies are being delayed. Edit: I'm pretty sure they'll use binary in order to create the Phoenix Force, then it'll be in Jean by the new X-Men 3 movie whenever it gets released. 👍
TL:DR - Movie was mid, not as bad as reviewers are making it out to be. 2 scenes not liked does not a terrible movie make. I went in thinking this movie was going to be bad and I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it and was having a hard time understanding why there was so much negativity. I know we all want Disney/Marvel to "Do Better" but this movie wasn't even bad, it was mid. I'll rewatch this over Thor 2 and 4, Iron man 3, Black Widow, Hawkeye show, and F & WS. I hear so much complaint about movies and shows having too much "filler" i.e. character development (like Loki season one...but boy did all of that pay off) and then when they trim that part down to have more action, people complain because they can't follow character motivation, sigh. I said this movie was mid, it's not perfect, but it doesn't deserve the level of hate it is receiving. The kitten scene, hilarious, using the song Memory was purrfect, chief's kiss, no notes! The singing planet was actually really interesting. Some reviewers say it went on too long, some reviewers say there wasn't enough to care about the people when their water was taken. I'm guessing if this planet communicated by farting it would have worked better and been hilarious. Monica'a character was developed and she had a clear arc that paid off in the end. I think her tention with Carol was real and they resolved it just fine. The villian, Dar-Benn, was more developed than I thought, given reviews. Building a compelling villian takes time away from the action. What we got was bare bones and yet was still relatable and a good foil for Carol, what better villian than the one you create thinking you were doing the right thing? So, I feel like I watched a different movie then most of the reviewers. So, Chris. Watch this movie again. Listen and watch the movie for what it IS, not through the lens of what you WANTED it to be. You might just get the deeper point of this movie. PS: You know what I don't care about? Street level stories. Talk about no stakes anymore. How can anyone care about what Kingpin does knowing there is a Celestial Host happening? It's all to small for me now. The Marvels just saved Earth from loosing our sun...and I'm suposed to care about what's going on in the mob world? Please. I felt the same way about F & WS & Hawkeye...just who cares, much bigger movers and shakers are in play now, we need to get back to them.

Alot of these movies that released were pre-strike and we saw how the MCU are going to make a change so people claim this is the current state of the MCU when it's like hold your high horses. This probably the last movie of the old formula. Let's wait to see how the new formula takes shape when the movie set in the MCU is set to have the new formula that they'll be doing
It's because it's not Miss Marvel moving into Monicas house, it's Carol Danvers/ Captain Marvel moving into Monicas house. Carol even asks Miss Marvels mother if she wants something of Carols that's in a box, so Kamalas family is helping Carol move in. Carol even tells Kamala, that's she's Monica going to look after Monicas helicopter and house till they're able to get Monica back
Chris, I think you just needed to rewatch Captain Marvel before watching The Marvels. The Supreme Intelligence thing was a major plot point of Captain Marvel. The only piece of the story that we didn't get was seeing its destruction from the Kree's point of view, which we got in The Marvels. There wasn't enough content to that story to make it a separate thing. Also it was Carol that was moving into the Rambeau house in Louisiana, not Kamala...
i liked this movie, i dont see it as a "captain marvel sequel", I feel like its a captain marvel movie about as much as civil war is a captain america movie ( it doesn't feel that way) Iman was by far my favorite tho, she had me dying. overall the movie wasnt bad although I could have done without the singing
Chris, I have to say that I really like the movie especially that I felt that all the main characters got a perfect development and got each of them were scene stealers and Nick fury and the family was definitely the high light of the movie, just like Ms. Marvel and I think you are being too nitpicking for this movie but do have 3 more things about it: 1) I do agree the villain is unforgettable and her motive once can weak and I did want more for it cause it seems like she came out of nowhere and which they explain that cause I didn’t bad for her cause she died like the other Marvel villains past movies. 2) Carol Davners is moving into the house not Kamala and her family okay 3) The CGI of The Beast I didn’t even notice until said something cause I think they did a good job. I really this not a best one but campare it to the first one this was definitely improvement and yes, I do agree that snuck in that post credit with Ms Marvel and Bishop to early and could have a better ending and that one became I real post credit scene and yes I do agree that sometimes the comedy can be to cartoonish but I like how they did in this movie except my question is: how did Goose get pregnant when she suppose with Captain Marvel for 30 years? As long as this was delayed, it was a very messy movie. Looking at the pieces, they took stuff that happened off screen somewhere and made a sequel to the Ms. Marvel show that included Carol and Monica. The credits stuff was great, but once again all it does it add more pieces to a puzzle that they have no clear plan for.
