The Masked Singer - Season 9 Episode 8 - WB Movie Night Full Episode Doll, Dandelion And Mantis Sing.
The Masked Singer paid tribute to cinema on Wednesday with WB Movie Night. Doll, who was revealed to be Dee Snider, started the showbiz night by giving another clue in his package, a heart-shaped candy.
Then Doll performed Elvis Preseley’s “Jailhouse Rock,” a song he hinted he had sung before. “Your voice was perfect for that song,” judge Robin Thicke told Doll. As an extra clue, agents from Men in Black brought out a guitar that said “king status.” “The King and I have something in common: we both made movies and platinum records,” Doll said.
The panel - which also features Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy and Nicole Scherzinger - guessed Doll could be Elvis actor Austin Butler or rock stars Gene Simmons, Slash or Sebastian Bach. Next up was newcomer Dandelion. In her Wizard of Oz-inspired clue package that showed a trumpet and an apple, Dandelion said she began her career as a kid and has “worked with all the legends,” including Madonna, Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Flea and Sir Elton John. “I settled in a musical city,” Dandelion added.
“Unfortunately, just like The Wizard of Oz, a terrible storm hit my home. But like dandelions, growing through the cracks and the concrete, I rebuilt. I learned that no matter what, there’s always sunshine after the rain.” Dandelion sang Judy Garland’s “Over the Rainbow,” which made McCarthy, 50, say the flower was the “new favorite.”
For Dandelion’s extra clue, the Men in Black displayed “billboards.” “These heels were made for performing: TV, movies, concerts and more,” Dandelion said.
