The English displayed in this comment section from those whom would be in study of said language is in fact quite a somber lot. Enough so to encourage one into a morose mood in consideration for future students. Clueless even, they waddle and wade their way toward mediocrity or much less.

I must say, I was quite surprised to hear that you do not appreciate the works of Edgar Allan Poe. While it is certainly acceptable to have differing opinions on matters of taste, I cannot help but wonder if your lack of appreciation stems from a lack of maturity and understanding. It is well known that Poe's works are not for the faint of heart, as they often deal with dark and unsettling themes. However, it is precisely this depth and complexity that makes them so compelling to those who are able to appreciate them. Poe's stories are not simply tales of horror and the macabre; they are also deeply psychological explorations of the human psyche, and are often laden with symbolism and allegory. It is possible that you have not yet reached a level of maturity and understanding that allows you to fully appreciate the nuances and complexities of Poe's works. This is not meant as an insult, but rather as a suggestion that perhaps you should revisit his stories at a later time, when you have gained more life experience and a deeper understanding of the human condition. In conclusion, I would encourage you to approach Poe's works with an open mind and a willingness to explore the darker corners of the human psyche. With time and reflection, I am confident that you will come to appreciate his unique contributions to the literary canon. Conformist
