To honor Edgar Allan Poe's 212th birthday, here is an audio-video of Horror Icon, Sir Christopher Lee narrating one of Poe's famous short stories, The Masque of the Red Death. Poe’s 1842 macabre short story about a deadly disease called the Red Death has become more relevant in the past year and this is truly eery. To help illustrate the story, legendary actor Christopher Lee provided his enticing vocal capabilities to add the ever-mounting tension of mortals foolishly disrespecting the angel of death.
The background music is Devil's Trill Sonata by Giuseppe Tartini (1692-1770).

That was amazing. How does this only have 10 likes? ... Oh yeah, Covid. I was rooting for that red death guy, sounds like he has my sense of humor.

I gotta admit, same here! A story where not only does the virus itself take the smug "not-so-above-it-all-after-all" elite down to the common level, but it gets all dressed up and decides to spend a few minutes screwing with everyone's head before giving the most... breath-taking... striptease of all time?! GOLD!!!

He was truly a badass. Served as a soldier/spy in WW2, was a proficient sword fighter, sang opera and recorded several symphonic metal albums, an accomplished actor, was knighted and an overall great man.

@@williamleewolverine The story goes that when, while filming a movie, the director told the sound technician how to make the sound of a knife slitting a throat, Lee said " Excuse me, but that is NOT the sound of a knife cutting a throat.".
