Always admired his playing from the first time i heard him. Never understood why he wore gloves when playing the organ. As a musician myself, it seems to be a hindrance, but he made it work.
Regina Argueta They are all the same only real difference is the cabinet. One for cathedrals/churches the other, the B3 (reveling the legs) primarily favored by the jazz and secular musicians for theatrics. Some say the B3 does more, others say just upgrade the Leslie speaker.
That is a 1959 Hammond C3 (the same as a B3, but with a full wooden cabinet) and a Leslie 122 speaker. I first heard Phil play THIS same organ when he was 12 - and I was 2 weeks old. I am now 51 years old, and on Jan 1, 2019, this church sold me this self-same organ. So, I now own the first instrument of ANY type that I ever heard in my life (since this religion doesn't believe in listening to the radio or owning televisions, I heard my FIRST note of music from THIS particular organ, itself.) I also own 2 other Hammonds / Leslie speakers - and 29 other keyboard instruments in my home music studio.
