What a great inspiration this guy is! He never stops pushing himself. I think we can all take something away from this, maths related or not. Thanks again for the great video!
I had the good fortune of stumbling across his book, "The Magic of Maths: solving for x and figuring out why" in a bookshop last year. He is as gifted at explaining concepts as he is at mental maths, and I also found it entertaining to read. I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoyed this video.
Well, he is not the fastest one, i once watch a TV show that have kids and teenagers battle on calculating 7x7 digits numbers and they did it in less then 10 sec. But they are Asian anyway so they don't count. Anyone know any fast calculating person who doesn't come from Asia.
CanadianGamer what do you mean by fake? just because they can do thinks that you cannot do, doesn't mean it is fake. Also that was an international competition with thousands people watching, referee and computer systems and more shits.
+CanadianGamer It is an abacus method. And if you are proficient at it, you can do it really fast. Yes, it requires a lot of time and effort. You think of an imaginary abacus in your head and imagine yourself sliding the beads along the wires to keep track of your calculation.
