Hey Jack! I bet it's good to know that if this 'Epic Games' thing doesn't work out for you, you can always get a job as a voice over artist! Good lord man, what a voice...rich cadence, with patient, calm serenity...just a terrific voice, much respect.
Really nice to see more offline VFX based approaches coming into real time, given the great improvements in hardware and software over the past few years. Big respect to the tech artists, equally to the engineers and researchers who create the tech underpinning Niagara, Nanite, Lumen and the rest of the engine. Amazing stuff !
These epic guys are allways 10 km ahead of everyone else it feels. Dont stop showing us how things can be done...its so awsome to see how much smartness went into all of it
I'm surprised you didn't use niagara fluids and bake the simulations as a flipbook instead of Houdini. Could have been fun to see^^ As always Epic work!
I look forward to returning to this video in two years and actually understanding this amazing tech. On second thought, better make that four years just to be safe.
Watching this really makes me appreciate what Rockstar does with their games even more. Theyve been doing this kind of stuff since gta3 and I still cant fully process how to implement this myself yet
Is there any way of controlling the vehicles through sequencer? I noticed that when I bring them into sequencer the only animations I see for the vehicles are doors opening and closing. I am wanting to control the driving and timing of the vehicles to where my animated cameras are within the scene.
Hi, I'm working on a scene with these vehicles where some of the doors are left open, does anyone know if/how we can just keep the vehicles static with one or more of the doors open?
We need nvidia flex to create some destructions in real time without skeletal meshes. To create plasticity in skeletal mesh we need automation of the work on placing bones on other machines, because it takes a long time to do it manually, and it's too lazy
