*The Matrix: Revolutions* is Breathtaking !! 

By assimilating Neo at the end, Smith willingly returned to the Source (which is what Neo was hardwired into) which allowed him to be deleted for good. Remember in the second movie when the oracle said that when a program no longer has a purpose it can either choose exile/hiding in the matrix or return to the source to be deleted. They allow programs the choice to stay or be deleted the same way they allow humans a choice to accept or reject the matrix. Smith chose to be an exile, but there's never been an exile program as powerful as Smith before, so this was a problem the machines never ran into until now.

that program in the beginning of the movie saved his daughter sati by giving the frenchman the oracle's code, so he could delete her if he wanted. when she pissed him off he did delete her, and she had to find a new "shell" as they call it. the oracle gave him her code to save sati, because she said sati would be important for the future. the scenes that explain these details are in an old matrix game on ps2. i never played the games but the scenes are in the 10 disc ultimate matrix collection i have.

the actress for oracle did not come back since she dies when they where shooting reloaded of diabetes. this is a personal friend of the directors and they made it cannon the oracle loosing her shell (her human form) out of respect. the oracle is a program that with the machine servers can predict 99% of the future, but still needs a human clone of a woman with medium/soothsayer capabilities. the program takes over their mind (like smith did with the bane guy) and that is how she can 100% tell the future with accuracy. the shell change is explained into the matrix games with cutscenes they made between shooting reloaded and revolutions with the real actors. they are part of the cannon like a mini series mixed into a game (enter the matrix)

That last fight scene is just like a live action Dragon Ball Z fight. So epic.

Fun reaction, remember that a ton of people said they hated the 2nd film, even more said they hated the 3rd. I personally say that are all are brilliant.

You should totally watch The Animatrix! If you loved the trilogy, it will be the perfect addtion answering some questions about the franchise :D

As an option, you could watch the Animatrix before the last film. It is a collection of animated stories. Also they had to recast the Oracle because the first actress died between filming 2 and 3. The first movie was about waking up and understanding, seeing the universe for what it is and not having to fit in, play by its rules. Movies 2 and 3 are about having the courage to change society, yourself to make a better world for everyone including your enemies. Neo had to work with the Machines to defeat Smith for the sake of peace. Smith was incapable/ unwilling to change so could not be included in the plans for the future.

Definitely check out the Animatrix anthology movie. In particular, the Second Renaissance Pts 1 & 2 are amazing.

Neo is The One Smith is The Many When Smith takes over someone, he'll also possess their power and knowledge. Smith took over the Oracle. So when in the last fight he was able to see how it'll end. He was inevitable and saw Neo lying there and losing. But he wasn't familiar with the Oracle's power so he freaked out for a sec. But he continued his purpose of assimilating everyone, including Neo who is connected directly to the Source, which allowed the Source to detect and finally delete Smith. If you want to continue the Matrix journey and learn more about it. highly recommend the Animatrix. a series of short animated videos that explain how the history of the rise of the Machines , how Zion found out the Machine are tunneling. and other fascinating stories from the Matrix world. Great watch and reacts. Fun/Strange fact: I remember during the time this movie was released there was a computer virus spreading on Windows operating systems that'll replace every file you have with a fake copy (shortcut to the virus that looks and named the same as the original file) and spread like wildfire on networks and on the internet. I wonder if it was a coincident or the programmers who created it saw The Matrix and got the idea from it.

Neo died too guys :( I was confused you didn't get that ;) He sacrificed his live for both races (humans and machines ... And even programs) to survive ^^ The machines were actually enslaved by the humans and kind and the good guys (if you watch the animatrix ^^)

time code: 48:12 - this is matrix reality 4.0! this not the same matrix! matrix reality 1.0: heaven on earth - humans rejected it. seraph was their guardian angel. matrix reality 2.0: hell on earth - humans rejected it. the merovingian ruled with his monsters. matrix reality 3.0: a balanced mixture of heaven & hell, created & guided by the oracle. matrix reality 4.0: machines/programs, & humans, can now unite, without [too much] fear & sati, the little girl, is now the future successor, & improved version, of the oracle.

I'd love to see how exactly Neo was suppose to just "destroy" all the machines, given the position he's in. His only real options were let the machines reset everything (and the humans would be back at square one) or to try making peace. He chose peace and made a bargain with the machines.

Def get your Animatrix on, its part of that og trilogy and still has the og tone. after that the games and other movies go into a more cheeky and satirical tone that is pretty fun and silly.

You guys must watch Animatrix. And don't listen to the haters saying matrix "4" is bad. One important thing to know about watching the whole franchise is : when the trilogy came out, internet and computers wasn't a big thing in people's mind and social medias didn't exist. The 4th episode deals with what society has evolved in since that. Sorry for bad english if I did mistakes

the oracle let smith take over her body so she could mess with him. that's why he said "i've seen this." at the end. the oracle tricked him, he thought that was leading to him destroying neo but it was actually the opposite. when smith first saw the oracle he said "if she knew i was coming, why wouldn't she leave?" she could have left but let herself be turned in order to mess with smith from inside of his programming.

Neo has powers in real world because it wasnt real world, it was second level of Matrix, the machines designed it for those who wanted to escape the matrix. So in reality no one was free.

They are watching this movie like a comedy going on in screen.You understand nothing about this trilogy neither the story,character,seriousness,philosophy,spirituality nor the body shivering music.
