Typically If you have a warm climate, and none other close to you, & a safe place to store it, then yes Great for your market. I would Target a newer, lightly used one from a Private Owner. Could save you thousands & double your ROI.
I just got the two I ordered a year ago. 2023 XLT and 2024 Lariat ,the second one did not make the 2023 build, so I received a rebate for it. The plan was to put them on Turo but……idk.
My experience is they are Not the highest revenue vehicles for Turo, but do hold their value well (especially hybrids) & have a very low cost of ownership. Keep them through Peak season to see, & sell them private party IF they don't do well for you.
I have had 2 on the platform for the last year. They rent Ok, but as of 2 weeks ago, the Maverick currently is the #1 vehicle selling Over MSRP at an average of 12-13% over. So If you have an Order for a Hybrid & can buy at MSRP then it is literally the safest investment for Turo out there. Rent for 1 year, sell for several thousand more than you paid for it. Keep rental income & resale = double the profit. If you don't have 1 on order already, then the strategy obviously doesn't work. Profit goal is 15K for each of my Mavericks.
