For the price many features are awesome. The wet timing belts in these motors are a tremendous red flag. 🚩. The main advantage is quiet operation, but the downsides are huge and the replacement is a nightmare. These engines have two timing belts, one for the oil pump to crank, the other obviously for valvetrain, etc. Please take a very expensive repair into consideration before the 150k. The wet belts don’t last very long. I like them, they are a money maker for sure. But as a consumer, heck no.
Great video. Can you help me understand why some of the Interior has colored accents? When I went to my local dealership I couldn't find consistency as to why some had read some head blew some head yellow and some add none

AWD is not even an option. You have to move up to the Trailblazer to get AWD, but you also get a more powerful version of the turbo 3 cylinder engine....
As a power host myself over the past 3 years, you learn that even with a 90 plan on your fleet, Turo takes huge chunks of your profits in little ways that add up overtime. All things described in the video are spot on for losses (mileage, fuel, time, wear n tear, risk of liability to and from, etc). Especially for hosts like myself in crowded and highly trafficked cities. The other issue is competitive pricing rates in markets locally that are extremely saturated. When you have competition with hosts that rent out newer or slightly older cars at excruciatingly low rates and unlimited mileage and free deliveries. Or when your fleet consists of well spec'd cars but lower performance trims close in comparison with the higher cost versions of the same car, and some hosts are willing to practically rent them out at a huge loss to stay in search results. Especially these days, things are tough.
False! 1.5 letter paired with a turbo is a disister waiting to happen...you know the checy TRASH WOULDN'T LAST 30K MILES TILL THE ENGINE BLOWS..... PEOPLE, DO NOT BUY CHEVY TRASH .....
It’s tough because as you stated , mkb says the core car is good but software is very important now days . But yeah, a lot of the software issues can be fixed but they may not get to. I wish them luck.
Life always comes full circle. These youtubers thirst for sensationalism at the expense of companies who are putting everything they have into developing a product. Who reviews an unfinished product and contributes heavily to ending its development when its just getting started. We now have all those who have a vested interest as buyers, owners, developers, employees suffering the consequences of someones selfish need for clicks and views. Was waiting another 6 months for the update roll outs that hard? Sadly consumer reports and carwow all jumped on the sensationalist bandwagon... With no regard for the impact it would cause the Fisker community.
Sounds like your fan boying.. which is fine. Can you imagine the reaction if one the major manufacturers released a car that bad. I own a low vin rivan and its significantly better than this train wreck. also you may want listen to his podcast hes give alot more detail into the review. This a new brand first impressions are really the only thing that matters.
Fisker was well on its way to bankruptcy before he did this video. Fisker is a design company made in a garbage factory. Ballooning debt and poor sales. He did the world a favor.
This is the most selfish response video to an honest review I have ever seen. So, you possibly sunk 65 to 70k on a Fisker, and when someone points out its flaws-flaws you are willing to live with-now you want everyone to excuse said flaws and join you in a 65 to 70k commitment on a flawed product to safeguard your investment.

@@winningstrategiesforturo I've read about talks with Nissan but I saw on the news today that Nissan and Honda are in talks to collaborate with EV's. You have 3 reservations with Fisker I would seriously consider cancelling them now before bankruptcy.
No the Karma was a good looking but terrible car from the beginning. EV's have come along way since then tho. The Ocean is not the Karma, but I agree Henrik should stick to the designing. It's seems he's not that great of a CEO.
Can you expand on how they lied from the beginning? Like how Tesla promises future features that aren't ready yet? Due to Covid production delays, EV tax changes, & interest rate being raised 15 months in a row, Fisker had no choice but to rush the vehicle out not quite ready Or they were done Before they even started. The Ocean is Not the worst vehicle ever. For This Fisker's 1st product, it's actually pretty good & unique. Unfortunately it may not be enough.

MKBHD might be less knowledgeable about cars. But since its EV obviously comes with a software program on its car he cares about that. But for the basic things or the features even the consumer knows simple things needs for them to have like an example glove box(I mean come on, it's already existed for many years even 90's).
Is His review the Only review you watched on the Ocean? The Ocean has 2 glovebox like storage unit's under the seats which Marques Fails to mention. Yes, they are in a different place that some people might not like but a reviewer should point those out.
If the car was in the market and available for people to purchase, his review of the current state of the vehicle was justified, and besides that he'll most likely review it again once their software is updated and doing a direct comparison to the buggy mess of a car it is right now.
No company deserves false bolstering for a bad product. They half-assed the unit he reviewed and called it like he saw it, while still being more polite than he should have been.

Seeing this blemish on EV's probably got under his skin because he knows it just serves to further harm the public perception of a product type he enjoys. Just like any other hobbyist or enthusiast, bad representations of your favorite things are just plain painful.

They released a car that wasn't ready - you yourself didn't even take delivery of the car. So how can you call any particular review the nail in the coffin, and not solely blame the manufacturer?

This won't be the first time Fisker filed for bankruptcy. The #1,2,3,and 4 spots were already taken. It's likely that these tailing companies can win the race.
I only ever interned in the auto industry, but it was obvious that this industry is HARD. When you break into it like many new companies are now days, you need to be open to harsh reviews.
