As always, great vocals from Raul. And also as always, superb guitar from Eddie Perez… …he of the long hair-to-die-for, perfect body, and wowy stage outfits… not to mention his cool moves…always vibing…a very sexy man.
All the guys in this band seem so Wonderfull and talented- what a gift and huge luck in your life to get to play together-and thanx a million for us lucky ones getting to listen to this uplifting music- SALUDOS!! Pure MAGIC!
As a guitarist and erstwhile band leader, the concept of having fun together, doing crazy shit and truly LIKING each other is paramount. You've got your super-group and you've got your band that is obviously having fun on and off-stage. l'd rather be in the latter and l'd rather attend the latter. Viva los Mavericks! And while l'm at it, viva NRBQ.
Bob Wills, even he understood country music was expandable and this is what "the music industry" (Nashville/Grand Ole Opry) completely missed, it went over their heads. We may wear our hats and boots, but we have a salsa musical heart, we like variety of upbeat with a little bit shake, rattle and roll. Its original, as long as the physical musical instruments are in the hands of talented individuals and put some salsa into it........people will be drawn to it.
I would love to hear him sing ‘Hotel California’. His cover would undoubtedly be out of this world. If he already did it, I missed it. Anyone know if he has already done it?
I think that’s the best story I’ve ever heard with Paul Deakin explaining the situation of being drunk and his wife takes off leaves him at the curb from the airport…I laughed out loud because I was married to a musician … and I will leave it at that….
