A great comprehensive video. Thanks for making it for those of us who will likey never see such a show. Best regards from a history buff and militaria fan from faraway Jamaica.
Thank you for taking the time to video the Max show. You did great video of all the good stuff there I couldn’t make it this year I did go last year it’s a great show every year once again thanks a lot for taking the time.👍🏻
Awesome video Kenneth (and t-shirt) ... Thanks for sharing , especially because I won´t have a chance to visit this kind of show so soon. Regards from Brazil.
Great video! I came from Charlotte and went Saturday. Then went to the Gettysburg museum of History, highly recommended to anyone that goes the the Max show bc it’s only 45 minutes away from the show. Thanks again for posting!
What a great video, thank you so much for sharing, we don't have anything as good as this in the UK, I think one day I need to come over with Alex just so he can see all this lovely stuff.
Great video, Although alot of us like German Militaria ie Imperial & Third Reich. Their is a whole world full of interesting and historical military related items from many periods we could be posting on RU-vid. New name for the Max "Captured WWII Artifacts Show"
I have been to a few SOS shows but never the MAX. Thank you Mr. Reese for an excellent video along with the play by play narration. Also thank you for your attention to uniforms and helmets which so few focus on.
It’s ruined other areas of the hobby that I’d love to get some examples of, line medals. What I’ve done is specialize in a specific area and learn as much as possible and keep learning. Along the way you meet others who specialize in other areas so you can ask them questions or have them second look an item you’re interested in.
Thank you once again for such clear and interesting footage. I have been waiting keenly to see what you would put up and you do not disappoint. Cheers from the UK
Yet another terrific video Kenneth, really good quality filming and narration. For us here in the UK who can't get there, this is just brilliant ! Thank you 👍
Thanks for taking the time to show a lot of the interesting things at the MAX show. Prices are crazy I don't know how young people are going to get into the hobby with some of the high prices.
Mr. Reese or anybody familiar with/ I found 2 flags in my apt. dumpster one was an American flag, the other a Devil Dog while researching I see you can buy the Devil Dog on websights but they do not look at all like the one I found, the color for one and my flags were flown at a base I believe, they were weather beaten not bad but I figure the person who got to take these flags home must of either been a officer, or Rambo. Have no clue why they were in the trash since this marine unit made the Nazi's literally cry for there mommas. I found an old timer and passed the flags on to him bout 3 years ago. Never thought about them till I saw your channel. Nice work
@@kennethreese4659from where I’m at in Ohio it’s about a 5 - 5-1/2 hour drive. Not too bad I just looked it up and that’s about the same amount of time to the MAX Show! I’ll have to make a trip next time!
I have never seen a show of this magnitude before... I'm totally dumbfounded ! All the history that has survived through many years. Where does it all come from ? I'd love to have some pieces to enhance my toy soldier collection. Truly amazing and thank you for bringing it to us ! 👍 p.s. Why are just some swastika items covered over ?
Great video and even better when I/we can make out the prices as well. The prices (particularly on WW2 German items) are often crazy today, and when compared to just 5-10 years ago. So many fakes and repro items, as already mentioned, even being sold by dealers who should know better. Question is: Are these high prices sustainable with far less younger generation interest? Demographic at shows (and I have been to many in the UK) is largely middle-aged to older men.
My dude, you should change your name to "Mr. Obvious." The whole way through this... "Got a whole bunch of rifles here... Got a real nice German tunic here..." Hahaha!!!!! I'm so glad you told us, we'd have never known!
Kenneth, great stuff as always! Would love to interview you on my channel! Btw, at approximately 52:26 you show a WWII 3rd ID coat. Do you happen to know who that dealer is? Would like to get in contact.
I sure saw a lot of suspect SS memorabilia in the video. Its terrible how much reproductions have infiltrated our hobby. I stopped collecting SS items and sold the stuff I had and now Im just focusing on Luftwaffe and Heer memorabilia but I only buy from people I know and a forum that I belong to where all items that are sold are thoroughly vetted by the members and everyone knows each others information as far as identity so no fakes or repros get in.
@@kennethreese4659Reproductions seem to be increasing every year and it is ruining the hobby. It also keeps new collectors from wanting to enter the hobby just out of the fear of not knowing or getting bad info. It’s a shame it’s gotten so bad over the years.
@@kennethreese4659 They had to set rules that we can’t display the busts, swazs on flags couldn’t be fully displayed, as well as ones on displayed tunic armbands. Blows my mind bc it’s a show fully around history.
Bunch of killjoys, if you’re offended by history then you’re in the wrong hobby. I think some people aren’t happy unless they find something to be offended by.
I’ve stopped going to these. It’s either way too overpriced or fake. Like someone else said they’re getting better and better at faking that it’s a crap shoot. Even so called experts can’t even tell the difference in some items. The Eastern Europeans are getting so good at it. It’s a shame. You’d be better off with US items than German.
Do you know how long it would take him if he paused for a long time at every item/table? He moved well and everything was clear. You can always pause the video if something catches your eye. Be thankful he’s taking the time to show people what was there.
It's something that started years ago because people got offended by the bad german symbol so they had all dealers hide the bad symbols. Some dealers still do it and some don't. It depends on the show.
That is BS. The type of show means you will see then. If people get Offended they can just not go. We live in the United States not Germany. I can understand if we lived in Germany were it's illegal to post any of Nazi symbols.
